CHAPTER 37

“MANEY! CHARLIE!” I yell at the top of my lungs as I see them standing out the front waiting with their parents.

They both turn around with massive smiles on their faces “CARTER! OH MY GOD! WE MISSED YOU” They both yelled while running up to me.

“I missed you guys to! So much! It’s so good to see you guys again!” I say hold them both so tight!

“Can’t breathe Carter!” they both say tapping my shoulder.

I release them, “Sorry guys! I just really missed you!” I say smiling at them

“It’s okay if Charlie wasn’t in on the hug you would have been the one tapping out.” Maney say winking at both Charlie and I.

“Oh, is that so?” I ask him while smirking.

“Hey, Sebastian! Nice to see you again! I hope you have been looking after my main girl here!” Maney yells to Sebastian as he walks over to us.

“Nice to see you too man! Of course, I have! Excited to be graduating?” Sebastian asked

“Excited is an understatement! I can’t wait to enter the college life that’s for sure!” Maney say winking at Sebastian.

Charlie and I just face palm ourselves, and head into where the ceremony is taking place to find our seats.

“Hey Carter, where did you get that mark from? I swear I haven’t seen that on you before? Is it like a tattoo?” Charlie asked, I froze forgetting that my mark isn’t completely covered and both Maney and Charlie both don’t know or understand the mate thing, so I laugh and try and cover it a little “Oh that? It’s nothing Sebastian’s sister was practicing her realistic art on me with her special pens and I still haven’t worked out how to get it off.” I smile.

She laughs with me “Oh, that does look quite realistic! She did an amazing job with the detail! Might have to get her to draw something on me next time I see her!” Charlie adds

“I’m sure she would love too!”

The whole area goes quite as the principal comes on stage.

“Thank you parents, Teachers and Students. We are gathered here today to officially hand you all your High School Graduation Certificates and wish you all the best for your futures ahead! Now as we call out your names you will come up and get your Certificates, parents are welcome to take photos also! In the back ground you will find photo’s of you all which each parent was so kind to lend of you all growing up for a little incentive.” She adds smirking at us all as we groan in displeasure.

As everyone gets there names called one by one, they have some really embarrassing photo’s for everyone to see, Evan had the worst lot of photo’s Luna Kate really went all out with his, Kevin’s wasn’t as bad, but I am really going to give him hell for some of these! Charlie was next and apart from school photo’s there was me and Maney by her side, I honestly forgot about some of these memories it made me start to tear up. Maney went up after Charlie and his mum also went all out with embarrassment, she had baby photo’s and all, there was the day Maney and I first met, our first sleepover, our playdates, right up until the day I left! If I wasn’t crying at Charlies memories I was definitely crying now.

It was now my turn to be called up and as they announced my name the last photo of my dad, mum and I was posted on the up on the wall, I froze remembering that day like it was yesterday, I wanted to flick my emotions off then and there as I looked at my dad who was staring at me with so much pride in his eyes, while holding onto Lilly. Tears streamed down my face as I started to continue walking, there was more of Maney, Charlie and I but mum was all I was thinking about, wondering if she was proud of me, who I am. Does she even know? As I get up to the stage the principal noticed my tears weren’t the happy kind but of a sad girl that missed her mother.

“Your mother would be so proud of you Carter! You need to be proud of yourself now sweetie.” She said while handing me my certificate.

“Thank you.” I say with a broken smile, she gives me a hug and I walk off the stage, Sebastian must have sensed my distress as he was waiting there ready to engulf me in a hug I desperately needed.

“It’s okay baby, let it out!” he whispers to me sweetly.

“I’m… Sorry… I … just… seeing… her… photo.” I try to say but he cuts me off “I know baby, you miss her, I wouldn’t expect you not too, but I think your dad added that photo to remind you who you are, who she was, that she is still here with you, watching you, proud of you.”  

I get my self together as we make our way over to everyone and put on a brave smile. My dad comes rushing over to me. “I’m so proud of you baby girl! Your mum will definitely be as well I promise!” he says while hugging me tightly “I didn’t want to upset you, I just wanted you to remember, to know she is here with you even now.”

“I know dad, it’s just hard, but I’m okay now I promise.” I say showing him my smile, he just smiles at me and we walk over to where Maney, Charlie and the rest are with there parents.

Luna Kate and Alpha John walk over with Evan.

“Congratulations Carter! We are so proud of you!” Kate says hugging me

“Thanks Kate!” I say returning her hug

“You all need to come and have diner with us before you leave, when are you heading back home?” Kate asked

“Yes, well we was heading back tomorrow.” I say

“Oh! Breakfast first thing in the morning then!” she said not leaving any room to argue

The rest of the day went by smoothly, Dad, Lilly, Curtis, Sebastian, Maney, His parents, Charlie, her parents and myself went had had more of a catch up for lunch at the fancy restaurant in town, we said our goodbyes again then made our way to Dads place and had a nice quiet night together laughing and catching some more before we all leave tomorrow, Dad and Lilly Included as he is taking a little vacation to come and pay Tomas a little visit.
