CHAPTER 36

After resting up for the last day and a half, I convince Sebastian to let me get out of bed and walk around as we leave for my old pack tonight so I can be there for my graduation tomorrow, and I want to start getting my stuff ready! Luna had gone and picked up the dress we decided on which was great!

Michael had come to see me for breakfast each morning, as he didn’t want to brake our new tradition, he also needed to be sure that I was okay, he thanked me for getting the confession out of Tomas so that he could have some closer.

Alpha Isaac had requested that Tomas stay in the cellar until my dad was able to have his own words with him, then he would have his sentencing for the murder of Nancy, Assault to the Luna and the attempted murder of the future Luna. As my dad was very angry about the whole incident, and Alpha Isaac understood and was happy to oblige my father’s request.

Right now Sebastian and I was having a slight disagreement on what I can and can’t do for myself.

“Seriously Sebastian I can pack my own bag! I’m fine! Honestly!”

“Regardless of you being capable of packing your own back Carter you are still supposed to be resting.” He argues.

“What do I have to do for you to believe me that I am fine, I have minimal pain and can handle doing everyday type of duties.” I respond back being stubborn

“The point is Carter you still have pain! Me being here with you the whole time has helped speed up the healing process, but you haven’t completely healed because we haven’t mated, so you need to take it easy until there is no pain!” he yells in frustration

“So, your answer to my question is that I have to complete the mate bond?” I say raising an eyebrow at him, knowing full well that he didn’t mean that at all.

“That isn’t what I meant Carter and you know that! How many times do I have to tell you that I would never force you if you weren’t ready?” He says defensively, I just smirk at him which he proceeds to give me a confused look.

“You look cute when you get defensive babe.” I say giving him my biggest smile.

“Did you seriously say that to make me get defensive?” he says calming down

“Of course, it’s fun getting you all defensive.” I respond

He laughs at me, “Fine you can pack you own bag, Happy?” he adds

“Awh, thank you!” I say jumping on to him with a big hug

Quick question, is this what its going to be like now? You argue, get me defending myself and give me compliments to get your own way?” he asked smirking at me.

I think about it and smile at him, “Yeah, now I know you cave easily” I say kissing him passionately.

After our quick make out session, I managed to pack my bags on my own, but allowed him to load it into the car. Only Curtis was coming with us on the trip back to the Silver Moon pack, because he had actually finished all of his own exams where as the girls still had 2 to complete. We all headed off at about 4pm so we could get to my dads at about 9pm, Grace and Stacey had packed us a massive feast for the trip, which in all honest didn’t last too long.

We pull up into my dad’s driveway and I jump out of the car before Sebastian even gets the chance to put the hand brake on.

“Carter!” Sebastian yells annoyed at my risky leap.

“Dad!” I yell ignoring his comment and running straight into dads arms.

“Hello baby girl, how are you feeling?” he asked concerned

“I’m fine dad, I only have minimal pain left and most of my wounds have healed.” I say

“You still need to take it easy, why Sebastian looking mad.” He said eyeing Sebastian

“Um… I guess it could be because I didn’t wait for him to fully stop the car before I jumped out to see you!” I answer leaving him at the front door and going to great Lilly.

“Lilly! It’s so good to see you again! How’s he been without me honestly?” I asked her

She smiles at me “ It’s good to see you too Carter, it was tough for him, especially once you told him about the incident when you arrived, he would have his phone in his hand everyday day waiting for your calls, Alpha John even told him he could take a vacation to your new pack until things settled down, but was persistent that no one here was capable of keeping Maney and Charlie safe.” She adds giggling to the last part. “Over all he was fine Carter, I promise.”

“Thank you for being with him Lilly, I know it must be difficult at times.” I say honestly

“That’s the best part about Mates Carter, no mater how you are you will always be loved.” She says and I smile.

Dad and Lilly had set up the spare room for Curtis, and Sebastian and I went to mine to rest up for the night, as tomorrow will be a big day.

 I wake up extra early to watch dad and Kevin train.

“Morning guys!” I say heading to sit out the back and watch

“Morning Carter! It’s good to see you again!” Kevin says coming to give me a hug.

“Morning Baby girl, what are you doing up this early for?” dad asked

“I just wanted to sit in on the training session and make sure my training hasn’t been forgotten.” I say grinning at the both of them.

“Oh, it definitely hasn’t Kevin here just won’t stop improving, soon he will be better then me.” Dad says giving Kevin a compliment, which he just takes with a smile.

“You ready for today Carter? I bet Maney and Charlie are excited to see you!” Kevin asked

“Yep, I can’t wait either! I have missed them so much! Thank you both for keeping an eye on them!”

“The pleasure is all our Carter! Anything for you!” Kevin responds

After their training, we all head in and grab breakfast, Kevin heads off after to go and get ready for the graduation ceremony as it starts at 9, and I head up to start getting myself ready. As soon as I am dressed, I head down to see everyone was waiting in the lounge room, I look at dad and I see a little tear form in his eye.

“You look Beautiful Baby girl.” Dad says coming over to help me put on the bracelet he had made for me.

“Thank you dad!” I say giving him a kiss on the cheek.

“Okay! Photo’s everyone!” Lilly chimes in gathering everyone.

“Carter, you and your dad first, then Sebastian can join in, after that you and Sebastian and Curtis can join in too!” She rambles we all laugh at her instructions.

Once Lilly was satisfied, she put down the camera so we could head off.

“Hey! Wait! Lilly you haven’t gotten a photo with me yet? Or with dad?” I say not wanting to leave her out.

“You want me in a photo Carter?” she asked with hope in her eyes.

“Of course I do, you are apart of my family now, not just dads.” I say giving her a hug, Sebastian offers to take them for her so dad can be in some as well, as son as they are done, we make our way to the graduation.
