CHAPTER 20

It's Friday morning and I wake up at 4am like I have the last few days to train with Kevin before I sit my final exams. I'm so relaxed laying in Sebastian's arm's I don't want to leave him, but I made a promise to Kevin and I'm going to keep it!

He has gotten so much better in the last few days training I think he might actually make it to handle taking my move by the time I leave; it will just be a matter of time to see if he can keep it up, I guess.

"Are you ready for your final exams Carter?" Kevin asked while warming up.

"I'm as ready as I will ever be!" I say confidently.

" You will smash this, just like you do everything." He says smiling at me.

"Thanks Kevin, I hope I do!"

We finish up our warmup and start our training session, we get to my move and he takes it with full force and lands on the padded wall with a massive thump! However, he does get back up a bit easier and in less pain this time.

"Your catching on pretty quick, your pain threshold is adjusting really well! You will just have to keep up with pain while I'm away to continue to be able to handle it." I say with a proud smile

"I appreciate your praise Carter, means a lot coming from you! I will have to see if your dad will take me on as a little training apprentice to keep up." He smiles

"I'm sure he would love it when I am gone! Well that's enough for today let's get ready so I can smash my exams." I say and we head inside.

Sebastian is waiting for me in the kitchen with a cup of coffee and some breakfast.

"How was your training session?" He asked

"It was good Kevin has improved heaps! He might even be able to give Evan a run for his money soon." I laugh.

"I will take you to school today if you like?"

"I would like that very much." I say and give him a kiss on the cheek and run upstairs to get dressed.

10 minutes later I come back down and say good morning to dad and Lilly, they both wish me luck today and Sebastian and I head off to go to school. We arrive just in time for Maney and Charlie to have a little chat to us both before I'm needed at my exams. They all wish me luck and I head into sit hopefully my final time at high school.

It's pretty intense right now, I know basically everything but I trying to make sure I don't mess anything up as I really want this. I have 45 minutes left until I finish, and I am on my last subject, which is my favourite subject, so I have this in the bag, my principal has been supervising me all day with this so, she comes and goes to let me know the timing.

5 minutes before the end of day school bell rings and I have finally finished! What a relief! I feel a massive amount of pressure has been lifted, and now it's that waiting game. Sebastian was waiting outside for me to finish and take me home as tonight dad has organised me a special little going away party that both my amazing friends can actually attend, honestly they have been working with dad on sorting it all out so I'm a little interested in how it goes.

Sebastian drops me off as he has to go home and arrive with his family in case Charlie and Maney get here early which without a doubt they will as they are more excited than I am.

"Hey dad I'm home" I yell

"Carter Hunni, your dad isn't her he ran out to grab a couple of things." Lilly comes out of the kitchen to tell me.

"Oh, okay sweet! I guess I will run up and get dressed for tonight." I say while running up to my room.

I go through my clothes and find a really nice top and pop it on with my skinny black ripped jeans and boots. I take my hair out and let the waves fall down along my back and do a little touch up on my mascara and eyeliner. Once I'm satisfied with my look I head down and chat away with Lilly while watching a bit of tv until dad gets back.

“Where are my two favourite girls?” dad yells at the door.

“Where in the loungeroom dad.” I yell back not wanting to move

“Good! Stay there until we come and get you!” dad yells back

“who is we dad?” I ask curiously

“It’s just us you, goofball.” Maney and Charlie both respond together.

“Oh, sweet! Hey guys!” I yell back

“You can all talk again soon come on we have a few things to do.” Dad says to both of them.

Knowing that my two best friends are here, and I can’t get up and go see them puts me on edge, but I know I will live, 20 minutes later they both run in and jump on me like they didn’t see me this morning or anything.

“We missed you all day Carter!” they both said.

“I missed you both as well, I will miss you both even more in a few days.” I say sadly remember I will be leaving them both in a few days.

“We will miss you also but its only for a bit over a month and we will see you again before we leave.” Charlie says.

“Oh, yeah I guess I will be back for the graduation day, hey.” I can’t believe I forgot that part.

We talk about random stuff for a bit and then suddenly there is a knock on the door, Maney decides he will get it, and goes to see who it is.

“Who invited you guys?!” I hear Maney whisper yell, so I walk out to see.

“My parents are good friends with Carters dad, so he asked us all over as well.” Evan responds not letting anything abnormal out.

“Oh, sweet well, come in then where your mum and dad at?” Maney asked confused they weren’t with him

“Mum’s just getting so things out of the car, also waiting for a couple others to arrive.” Evans says

“Oh, okay well close the door behind you, I am going back to the couch until the foods ready.” Typical Maney I think to myself.

“Yeah you go do that, I’ll leave it open as Kevin and the girls just pulled up.” Evan says

“Girls?” we all turn and ask.

“Yeah he picked up Stacey and Grace on his way.”

“Oh, sweet!”

Everyone slowly started to arrive and mingle around each other, luckily everyone kept the conversations Human rated as other then Maney and Charlie everyone was a were wolf.

Dad and Lilly had made a whole heap of party type of food, along with a bit of a BBQ out the back after all us werewolves love our food. Everyone practically grouped up Dad, Alpha John and Alpha Isaac were around the BBQ; Lilly, Luna Kate and Luna Lisa hanging around the kitchen and then you have Kevin, Stacey, Evan, Grace, Maney, Charlie, Sebastian and I closer to the training room telling stories about each other.

Once everyone had finished eating dad made everyone group up for a little speech,

“I just want to thank everyone for coming over here tonight and celebrating with my baby girl on her big decision and step in life. Carter I am so proud of everything you have accomplished and done! You will always be my baby girl, but I know you have greater things to offer in your future, which is why you must leave. I know how hard this will be for both of us in particularly as we have been inseparable since your mother passed, I know my methods raising you, probably wasn’t the best as I kept getting told especially after all the fights at school… But as a proud single father raising his 5-year-old daughter on his own I think I did a pretty good job; I know you are smart in all decision making, your strong and you can defiantly defend yourself when needed. I done my job right! I love you baby girl; I wish you all the best for your future and know that I will always be here waiting when you need me.” I think I’m crying that was the most amazing words I have ever hear out of my dad’s month! I get up and give him a massive hug, while everyone is cheering and clapping him for his words.

Maney and Charlie both stood up and also had a little speech to say.

“Cater, we have both been your best friends since we were wee little kiddies, you have be one of the best things to ever happen to us and now we are all going our separate ways for college, earlier this year we were worried about leaving you and going to college as we both know you found it hard throughout with other people not understanding you or liking who you were. Now we are over the moon for you and can’t wait to hear all about college and the new people you will meet! Just remember, no matter where we are, we will always be best friends! We love you Carter.” That’s it I am a mess tears a falling and I can’t stop myself I hug them both so tight and don’t want to let them go! I will truly miss them.
