CHAPTER 21

The rest of the night went by pretty breezy, with constant laughter and fun. Dad ended up agreeing to let everyone stay the night, so all the adults ended up getting a night to themselves as we all crashed in the loungeroom floor at about 3am…

I wake up wrapped in Sebastian’s arms again like I have for the last few days, to Kevin nagging me about training.

“Carter come on, get up we only have like 2 more training sessions and I still need a little more to be able to fully take your special move.” He whispers Sebastian growls as he hears Kevin try and get me out of his grip.

“Really Kevin? Maney and Charlie are here though?” I say back.

“If we head out now, they won’t be up for at least another hours or so? Please you promised me that you will train with me every morning until you leave.”  he says with a slight I got you smirk.

I roll my eyes realising what he is doing and get up and sneak out to the back so he can have his training session.

we are fighting away not caring or paying any attention to or surroundings Kevin does his last attack and I do my move and he goes flying and hits the wall, like normal as he was getting back up we heard a voice say “Damn Carter! That was sick! You dropped him like no tomorrow!” I froze and so did Kevin we turn around to find Maney sitting there with a massive grin on his face.

“I am so glad you have never used that move on me when we had trained, I think I would have died!” he laughs   “When did you master that move?” he asked

I scratch the back of my neck eyeing Kevin “Well, Kevin volunteered to be my dummy after I dropped Evan at school, he wanted to see my fighting skills.” I respond trying not to give it all away.

Maney comes down to Kevin and shakes his hand “You are definitely not the person I expected you to be, thank you for helping my girl out here, not I know for sure she can take on her boyfriend if he gets out of line.” He winks at him, Kevin just laughs.

“Hey, she has helped me with my strength as well so I should be thanking her to be honest.” Kevin said to Maney.

Maney looks at me and says, “Are you guys finished? I have something I want to talk to you about.” He smiles, Kevin take the hint and goes back inside with the others.

“Sure, Maney what is it?” I ask

Maney pulls out this little box and hands it to me. “Carter, I just wanted to give you this, you have been the best friend anyone could ever ask for and I need you to know how much you mean to me!” he gestures for me to open the box which I do and inside is this beautiful simple bracelet that he had engraved with ‘No one will ever take your place. M.’ I start to tear up and he notices “No matter where we are in life Carter, I need you to remember no matter what you will never be replaced.” He smiles and gives me a big hug.

“Thank you Maney, this means so much to me! Thank you!” I respond returning the hug.

“Now that this is done lets go wake everyone else up and get some brunch into us! I am staving!” he says.

We walk in and jump on everyone to wake them up it is 1pm after all, Dad and Lilly are already in the kitchen cooking us all up some food, eggs, bacon, spaghetti, toast and a heap of salads put nicely around the table for us to dig into. After diner everyone started to pack up their stuff and head off home to freshen up out of there old clothes, Maney and Charlie promised to see me off first thing Monday morning before school. Evan decided to join in on mine and Kevin’s last lot of training so he too got to see me more before I go, Stacey and Grace got a lift with Kevin and Evan, but both didn’t need to say goodbye as I will be living with them after this anyway. Sebastian decided to stay back and help tidy up after last night and this morning, Dad and Lilly had to leave halfway through as they are meeting up with the Alpha and Luna, for some pack business.

I look at Sebastian as a question runs through my mind. “When do you need to mark me?” He looks shocked but brushes it off.

“Well, ideally I need to do it before you start college, so all of the unmated wolves know you are mine, my wolf won’t be able to control himself if someone tried something on you.” He said

“Will we need to do the rest so soon? I mean like complete it?” I ask not looking at him.

“We will not have to fully mate until you feel you are ready! I would never rush you in that I promise. The marking will just be safer for everyone if it is done before,” he looks me dead in the eyes showing me he is peaking the truth. I smile and feel a little relieved at that, it’s not like I don’t want to do it, I just don’t know if I am ready for it right now.

After we finish cleaning we both end up taking a shower to freshen up, I let Sebastian go first as I needed to find what I was going to wear for the rest of the day, he comes out of the bathroom looking to die for, I have no idea if this is just from the mate bond or not but damn he looks delicious, he notices me staring at him again so I quickly grab my things and run into the bathroom and shut the door. As I am drying myself off, I realise I had forgotten my trousers and managed to grab two tops, I groan at the fact I now need to go out there with only my Underwear covering my bottom half.

“Sebastian?” I call out in hopes he would be nice enough to just get me some but I had no response so I figured he must have gone out of the room, so I decide to make a run for it to my closet. I swing the door open so fast I don’t even double check if he was actually in here, I bend down to go throw my trousers and find a pair I want to wear suddenly I hear a low growl come from the door way I turn to see Sebastian standing there looking at me with lust in his eyes, looking me up and down.

I freeze and so does he for a moment then “I’m so sorry, I heard you call my name and came up to see what you wanted.” He says slowly turning around, I couldn’t help but notice his trousers getting tighter while he was staring at me. I compose myself and grab my trousers and put them on so he can turn back around.

“Grace and Stacey have asked if you wanted to hang out with them this afternoon while I work on some pack stuff with my dad?” he asked

“Yeah sure that sounds great!” I say embarrassed

“Great, I will meet you at the car.” He says walking out of the room as fast as he could.
