CHAPTER 18

I head back outside and walk over to the car where Sebastian is standing there waiting for me holding the door open, I hop in and he shuts the door for me and walks over to the driver’s side and gets in, we pull out of the drive way and he looks at me with adoration in his eyes. “So, were officially boyfriend/girlfriend now huh?”

“Well I guess we are I could have you slip up to Maney and Charlie about us being mates.” I say trying not to look at him.

“I like how it sounds.” Is all he says.

“where are we going?” I ask

“You will see?”

We arrive at this random spot surrounded by the forest; I look at him with confusion as even I have never been here, nor did I know about it.

“This isn’t where we are going princess, we just can’t drive the rest of the way. So, don’t look so confused.”  He reassures me.

“So, were going on a hike?” I say excitedly

“Do you want to go on a hike? We can if you like. We just have to walk about 5 minutes through there, but if you want, we can do that.” He says

“Oh, we can do a hike some other time! I love adventuring to different places! Come on let’s go!” I say jumping out of the car.

“I will keep that in mind for next time.” He says walking towards the front of the forest.

He grabs my hand and I let him, we start walking along an already made track, which eventually comes to this beautiful clearing surrounded by thousands of flowers and a lake just off the to one side, it was perfect for I guess our first date. I look to the side and I see he had set up a picnic for us, he sits downs and pats the spot beside him so, I sit down.

“You really made my morning by saying I was your boyfriend to your best friends, at first I didn’t like the idea about Maney but I can see why you are best friends, I adore the way he stands up for you too, just like a brother should.” He says. I smile.

“He practically is my brother; I adore how much he thinks he can actually take on both you and Evan.” I laugh “well I did teach him everything he knows.”

“Carter, I want to ask you properly.” he gets out a little box and opens it. There is this beautiful uniquely simple promise ring. “I know we started off on the wrong foot, so I got you this gift as a promise to always love and want you Carter. I want everyone to know you are mine. So, will you officially do me the honours of being my girlfriend, future Luna and eventually wife.” I’m kind of speechless at first but I tear up with happiness and nod my head while he places the ring on my finger.

“Sebastian, I have something important to tell you.” He looks at me confused almost worried “I have organised with all my teachers to sit my final exams to graduate from high school officially on Friday.” I wait for his response.

“That’s great princess, but why so soon? Will you be ready in time?” he asked worried

“I organised it because, when you head back home, I will be coming with you. I decided that I won’t leave until I know I have passed, which all my teachers said I will know Monday morning.” He looks happy, surprised all in one.

“Are you sure? I don’t want to rush you Carter I will honestly be fine for a couple extra weeks if you need it.” I can see he doesn’t want me to change my mind, but he is true to his word that he doesn’t want me to do anything I am not ready to do.

“I am sure, unless you don’t want me to.” I say knowing full well what the answer is.

“NO! I want you to come with me as soon as possible, but what about Maney and Charlie? I understand your dad has someone now, so you’re not so worried there but?”

“Well Honestly, they decided for me. I couldn’t exactly tell them everything but what I did they said they were happy for me to leave as we will always be friends and there for each other no matter how far away.” I say remembering how lucky I was to have such understanding friends.

He smiles, he shows just how happy he is by smashing his lips on to mine, kissing me with everything he has, passion, need, want was all I could register from the way his lips moved in sync with mine. He hugs me so close and tight I get tingles in places I never knew I would. The electric tingles that surge through my body from his touch and kiss, I am a complete mess, my body reacts on its on to him and I like this feeling I have. He brought me happiness when I was sure I wasn’t worthy of it.

After a few hours of talking and learning more about each other we decide to head back as I now need to talk to both Lilly and dad about my decision.  Just before we go to leave, I stop Sebastian.

“I have one more thing you need to know about me.” Nervous as hell but it has to be done.

“What is princess? You tell me anything?” he says

“ It will be easier if I show you, turn around please.” He turns so I take off my clothes and charmed necklace knowing that no one else is around so I will be safe, I shift into my wolf and nudge him to turn around while I step back. I watch his expressions on his face, pure joy, proudness, adoration and love is all I see he comes close to me and touches my fur, my wolf purrs at his touch as electricity surges through us sending waves of pleasure. I nod to him to turn back around and he does, I shift back and quickly change back into my clothes and place my necklace back on as he turns around.

“You are beautiful inside and out! Carter how did I get so lucky.” I smile “I could say the same about you.”

“We can talk about this more another time, for now your dad is waiting. Just promise me you won’t tell anyone else what you are or about your wolf.” He says caring like.

“Don’t worry, Luna Kate has made sure no one can see my true identity while I have this necklace on.” He looks at it with happiness and relief.

“Perfect, it is just like Stacey’s but more unique.” He smiles.

We walk hand in hand back to the car he opens the door and lets me in, then goes and gets into his side, it doesn’t take long to get home, he jumps out and opens the door for me to get out and walks me up the stairs to my front door.

“I will see you soon princess.” He kisses my forehead.

“See you soon, wait here.” I give him my number so he can message me.

“Thanks, I completely forgot!” I wave him off and head inside to see dad and Lilly in the kitchen cooking tea.

“Hey dad, Lilly I’m home!” I yell as I shut the door.

“In the kitchen baby girl.” Dad yells

I head into the kitchen and sit down and admire how they are together after knowing each other for such a short time.

“Lilly do you have a minute to have a quick chat?” I ask

“I sure do sweets; your dad can handle the rest lets go.” Dad just smiles at us

We head out the back and sit down at the bench.

“Lilly, I made my decision today after talking to my friends.” I start

“What is your decision Carter?”

“I am taking my final exams on Friday to completely graduate from high school early as I will be leaving with Sebastian and his Family in a week.” I say nervously, she smiles at me

“I am very proud of you Carter you have made a very hard decision, but you have chosen wisely!” she says.

“I just need to know one thing from you.” I say

“Anything, sweets.”

“Will you promise to love and care for my dad when I leave? He means the world to me and I couldn’t live with myself if I was leaving him alone, but now he found you and I see the way you too look at each other. Your both happy and I feel happy knowing he won’t be alone but with someone who loves him.”

“I promise you I will always be here for you dad as long as the moon goddess allows me.” I look into her eyes and I see she is telling the truth. We hug and go back inside to tell dad the news, he is over joy about my decision and supports it 100% he already started planning my going away party…
