"why is it so hard to get rid of him?" Smith gritted. He slammed his hands on the table. Blood boiling, jaws clenched. "Let's just take a break, you've tried your best." Lana said walking up behind him and placing her hand on his back as he stood by the table. It was already dark, the moon cast a soft gleam off golden light through the window. The bedroom had a huge bed in the center, a dressing table that sat in front of the mirror. " How did he survive the plane crash. He should have died." Smith seethed. "The doctors said it was a miracle, it's impossible for a person to survive such" Lana added. Anthony had been in a plane crash nine months ago with his father. They were both traveling to canada for a business trip. They were halfway through the journey when the plane began shaking. It was that the realized that the pilot wasn't there on the plane. "Lana we have to come up with a new plan. What if That Avery girl gives him an heir?" Smith said. His eyes stared straight on the table. Lana stood beside him with her hand on his back and her head leaning on his shoulder. "How about we kill her first, that way, we can eliminate two people at a time. His unborn heir and his wife" Lana proposed. There was a moment of silence. "You're so smart." Smith smiled and turned to Lana placing a soft kiss on her lips. "Perfect plan." He grinned and Lana smiled. She returned the kiss deepening it. Smith wrapped his hands around her waist pulling her closer to him. He held her tight as he kissed her lips. His tongue parted her lips gaining entrance to her mouth. He carried her up, and made her sit on the table. ****************************. Avery had just returned from the pharmacy where she went to buy the supplements the doctor had described. She walked up the stairs, her steps slow and tired. As she got to the top, her eyes locked with Anthony who sat on his wheelchair. Her pulse quickened and her heart began hammering her ribcage. She clutched the bag tighter. The bag said it all. She was coming from a pharmacy. "Where are you coming from?" He rumbled. Voice rough and deep. "I had to get some drugs from the drug store. I was having a headache." She lied. She couldn't even maintain eye contact, she kept looking away. "There were some aspirin in the drawer, that would have done." His voice was low this time, more like a growl. Did he find out about the pregnancy? He would have still found out sooner or later, no matter how hard she tried to hide it. "Of course, you have no other excuse." Anthony said his lips pressed in a straight line. "Can you explain these?" Anthony raised the scan results up in one hand, the other hand on the wheel of his wheelchair. Avery's heart began pounding really fast. Her hands began trembling. She opened her mouth to speak but no words came out. How would she explain to him? She wanted to keep the child. "I told you to get rid of the baby." Anthony growled, voice low and dangerous as he slowly stood up from the wheelchair. Avery's breath caught in her throat. Her heart skipped a beat. What!! He could walk again!! She gaped at his tall figure. Her mouth widened. He looked even more bigger when he stood. His shoulders were broad, his legs a lot longer and stronger than she had imagined. It had been three months and he could walk well. Throughout these three months, Avery had never went with him to the rehabilitation center. He took slow deliberate steps towards her and she took equal steps backwards. "Please Anthony....." She pleaded. "Keep my name off your filthy mouth." He thundered. He took one more step, Avery took another step backwards, her legs had reached the edge of the stairs. She slipped falling backwards. Her head hit the stair case with a loud thud. Darkness took over. Anthony stretched his hands to catch her but she had already gone tumbling down the stairs. He ran down after her body. She landed on the ground on her stomach. Her forehead on the ground and her hair scattered round it on the marble floor. "Avery." Anthony called brows raised, voice shaky. That was the first time he had called her name since they got married. But she couldn't hear it. "Avery!" He called out again, his voice was a whisper now. He held her shoulders and turning her over but she didn't move. Instead, blood began flowing down her legs. Anthony's mind raced, his hands trembled. His knees became weak and he fell to the ground. "Maya!!" He yelled and Mrs Meyer rushed down. She gasped at the sight in front of her. "Help me! Please!" Anthony cried. Mrs Meyer paused for a while. Did he just say please? Was she dreaming or what? Her boss had never been polite. He was always cold and cruel. What happened? Anthony's hands trembled, his heart threatened to jump out of his chest. Was she going to lose the baby? What had he done? Would she survive this fall?
