"Are you serious?! And who does he think he is, your father?" she scoffed. "Be a man and fight for it if you really want her" she said.
"I do. I really do" he said in desperation. "Fine, I've given you her letter, nothing more. I'm not doing this again" she said.
He nodded and smiled. "Why can't you guys talk over phone again?" she asked, narrowing her eyes.
"It's tapped" he said, making her gasp. "Wow. Enjoy" she said and got up. "I'll leave now" and he smiled.
"Really, just try and talk. Make him accept your love" she said and he smiled confidently.
"I definitely will" he said. She smiled while nodding and walked out. "I'll walk you to the door" he said and she shook her head.
"That's fine. You've just arrived and you look tired. I'll find my way" she smiled and walked down the corridor. She smiled to herself.
Not bad Aria, not bad at all. You're a born actor darling. Hollywood, you don't know who you're missing.
She chuckled at the thought and walked towards the stairs. "Wait" she heard the voice and stopped dead in her tracks.
No no no! She quickened her pace and in no time was stopped by Mr. Intimidating.
Uh oh. Thomas's grip was tight. Don't turn back. Let's pretend that he's not holding the hand and run!! She freed herself and raced down the stairs and into the living room.
"Sir?" the old man looked startled and had a glass of refreshing juice in hand. She looked at it longingly and tried to decide.
She might even have a sip, it could even give her strength. "Hold there" Thomas was quick and she gasped before racing out of the mansion.
She ran to the front and panted. "See ya, old man" she patted his belly and ran out. "Hey. You freak" the guard yelled and she giggled while sprinting down the street.
She laughed again as she sat in the back of the cab, remembering Thomas and the guard. "Thank you" she smiled at the cab driver whose mouth hung open.
She chuckled and went into the apartment. "So, you gave him the letter?" Gwen asked excitedly. "I'm r..really s..sorry" Aria mumbled, looking serious.
"A..Aria?" Gwen looked at her, almost pleading. "He caught George. I ran away from there. Now, George would never be able to meet you" she whispered and Gwen slumped on the couch.
"What have I done?" she whispered in pain. "I thought you said this would work?" she looked at Aria who smiled weakly.
"I didn't know the brother was so observant" she said. "That f*****g Thomas! Let him rot in hell" she yelled, making Aria burst into laughter.
"How dare you do that to me?!" roared Gwen, when Aria narrated her adventure.
"Come here" Aria said and they hugged. They looked at each other for a moment and burst into fits of laughter.
"Wow. Impressed" Gwen smiled and Aria bowed slightly. "So.. Party tonight?" asked Aria and Gwen whined.
"Get your ass up. We're going and you owe me this" Aria said."Well, how do I look?" Gwen asked, looking at herself in the mirror.
"George would definitely ravish you" Aria chuckled and Gwen playfully elbowed her. "Let's get going" they hooted and whistled.
"I can't wait to meet him" she groaned and Aria chuckled. "Lover getting impatient" she sang along and Gwen huffed.
A low whistle made their way when people in the bar noticed them. "You just want attention" Gwen threw her hands up and started singing.
"Gwen, come on" Aria urged her towards the drinks. "You sure that he's coming here?" she asked and Gwen nodded.
"He's dying to meet the gorgeous me" she pointed the thumbs to herself making Aria chuckle. "Yup. There he is" she pointed.
"Georege" she yelled and Aria immediately stilled. "What the hell is that guy doing here?" she whispered and pulled Gwen back.
"Lady, let me go" Gwen said and Aria shook her head. "Stay right here. That man, next to him is his brother, Thomas King" she said and Gwen scowled.
"I'll settle it with him, once and for all" she cracked her knuckles and smirked like a goon. "You're utterly ridiculous" Aria said and Gwen scowled.
"Did I tell you how sexy you look in that dark blue dress?" asked Gwen. "Go on. What do you want?" chuckled Aria. "I need a favour" she said.
"You're so unpredictable" said Aria, sarcasm in every word. "Aria, please do this for me" she looked at her with puppy eyes.
Aria frowned before gasping. "No way in hell" she said.
"Please. I love him and I hardly get to meet him. Please. Why do you even call yourself a best friend, can't you help me out with such a small thing?" she asked, looking sad.
"Not working" Aria said, shaking her head. "Fine. I'll cook, for a week" said Gwen. "Make it a month" said Aria before breathing heavily.
"You can do it, girl. You can win the world" Gwen cheered and Aria glared.
"Okay. I'll leave you to it" she chuckled and Aria sighed, before walking away.
Her heart was thudding loudly as she approached them. First time in history when a prey walks to the predator.
She bit her lip and squeezed her eyes shut.
I can do it. Definitely. All he might do is kill me, what could possibly go wrong?
She breathed heavily and calmed down. She smiled as she walked to them. She stood in front of him and bit her tongue not to faint.
His eyes raked up and down, taking in every inch of her. A dark blue dress that ended just before the knees.
It hugged her curves beautifully. Her chestnut brown hair curled at the sides, reached her mid back. He hadn't seen a more beautiful lady with perfect features.
Her eyes were brown and she looked nervous. Why would she be nervous? Her teeth sunk into her lower lip and she was trembling.
He was definitely a keen observer and wouldn't have noticed her nervousness otherwise. He rose a brow and she shook her head quickly.
"Hi, I'm George" said George, offering a hand. She shook it and he smiled. He bit his inner cheeks trying not to laugh.
She frowned at him. Wait till she meets him again.
"This is Thomas" he introduces and she nodded slowly. "I'll see you in a while, Thomas" George said, slipping into the crowd, leaving them alone.
She was about to walk away when she heard Thomas call for George. "T..Thomas" she stuttered and he rose a brow.
"I.. I just wanted to say how handsome you are" she said and bit her tongue.
Couldn't come up with anything less stupid?! "Right. You've anything else to say before I shove you out of my way?" he asked and she quickly stepped aside.
He chuckled before walking ahead. No no no! She couldn't let him find them. She held his hand and he looked back, shocked.
He looked at her small hand trying to hold him back. She immediately let go and stepped back.

Coming up
"For a person with a twisted ankle, you were fabulous" he said and she gulped. She laughed nervously.
"T..Thanks again" she said, putting distance between them.
"I'll take your leave" she smiled, her hands shaking. "I don't think so" he said and pulled her close.
Her breath hitched as his hand snaked around her waist.
