Distracting him

Something about her felt right. He dispersed the thought. "I've met you before, haven't I?" he asked and she shook her head vigourlsly. "You seem familiar" he said and she laughed nervously. "We haven't met. Not at all" she said and he nodded. "I'll be off then" he said and turned to leave. "Ow" she said and he looked back at her. She panicked before limping. "I have sprained my ankle. I can't move" she said and looked at her ankle. Please let him buy that. Please. "You okay?" he asked coming closer. She smiled in relief. "It hurts" she said and he frowned, looking back at where George had disappeared. "Baby" George hugged Gwen and she frowned. "Ew.. When did you start calling me that?" she said and he laughed. "I missed you" he hugged her and she hugged him back. "Your friend is hilariously trying to divert his attention" he laughed and she nodded. "Hey. She's trying for me, coz you're a coward" she punched his shoulder. "Don't call her hilarious" she narrowed her eyes and he lifted his hands in the air and chuckled. "Let's sneak out, go to the other bar. I can't be free here" he said and she nodded. They made their way to the exit but hid back as soon as they saw Aria and Thomas. Aria's eyes widened as she saw Gwen mouthing a 'please' and pointed to the exit. Aria cursed and rolled her eyes, finally nodding quickly. Just as Thomas was about to turn she whimpered, catching his eyes. "It hurts so bad. I can't move. I can't walk. I think I'm going to die. No doctors can save me. Oh how disappointed I am with life" she blabbered, looking at Gwen and George. They quickly escaped and she sighed. "What?! Are you kidding me?!" he asked and she looked at him. "What?" she asked. "You're going to die and no doctors can save you?" he asked in disbelief and she frowned. "It's just a sprain. What are you saying?" she asked him. He gasped in disbelief and shook his head. She was so occupied with them that she didn't even know what she was saying. "That's what you said" he said and she gasped. "No. When did I say that? Are you okay?" she asked him and he straightened up. He shook his head in irritation and walked away. "Well, done. Gwen, you owe me big time!!" she said, while walking to the drinks. "Hey beautiful, what can I do for you?" the bartender asked. "Nothing" she said and he smiled. "One second" he said and went down. He filled the shots and offered. "No. I don't drink" she said. "Are you serious?" he asked and she nodded. "Well, I'll see you later" she hoped off and went to the dance floor. "Wanna dance?" a blonde man asked and she smiled. He was gorgeous. "Let's go" she smiled and he grabbed her hand leading her to the middle of the dance floor. She started swaying and he smiled. "Ooo.. Nice moves you got there" he said and she smiled. She frowned slightly when he moved too close for her liking. She managed to smile and move a little back. He put his hands around her waist and pulled her close to him. "Hey, no" she said and tried to move away. "Come on, why be shy?" he said and moved her along with him. "No. Stop" she said, pushing him back. He scowled before coming closer. She was immediately grabbed by a hand and turned around. She bumped into his chest with the force he had used, but his hand around her was gentle. She looked up at him and saw an amused Thomas. He looked at her before looking at the man behind her. "She's taken buddy" the guy said and Thomas chuckled. "Go home boy" said Thomas and he frowned. "Leave her" he said and Thomas looked to her. "Want to go back to him?" he asked and she shook her head. "No. I don't" she said. "Heard that? Off you go now" he said and the other person growled before leaving. "Thank you" she smiled and he narrowed his eyes. "For a person with a twisted ankle, you were fabulous" he said and she gulped. She laughed nervously. "T..Thanks again" she said, putting distance between them. "I'll take your leave" she smiled, her hands shaking. "I don't think so" he said and pulled her close. Her breath hitched as his hand snaked around her waist. "M..Mr. King" she stuttered and gasped. Why couldn't she keep her mouth shut? "How do you know my last name. I never said that" he said and she looked at his hands, that were around her waist. He pulled her against him and she gasped as she looked into his eyes. "Who are you?" he asked and she thought she was going to faint. "Hmm?" he asked as he held her chin and forced her to look at him. "I.. I am l..late. I.. I've to be h..home" she stuttered and tried to wriggle out of his hands. He tightened his grip and she let out a small yelp. "L..Let me go" she was hyperventilating. "Not until you tell me who you are" he said. "I.. I'll scream" she said, trying to threaten but it sounded pathetic. He chuckled and she smiled. That was contagious. "Mr. King" she wrapped her arms around his neck and he rose a brow. She smiled sweetly and he gasped. Such a beautiful smile. She stood on her toes and went closer to him. He sucked in a breath and looked at her. She closed her eyes and her lips were close to his. He almost groaned in frustration when she was taking too long. She suddenly pushed him and backed away. He was taken aback by the action and smirked when she ran for her life. Wait up, girl. He quickly moved through the crowd, following her. Her heart was beating loudly. That's the only way she could have escaped. Distract the opponent. She rushed up to the washroom. She shut the door and sighed, holding a hand against her racing heart. "Where the hell are you?! Come back now" she hissed into the phone. "Ariiaaa?" slurred Gwen. Aria shut her eyes in frustration. "Please tell me you're going to come back now" she said. "Ariaa?" she asked again and Aria groaned. She pressed her hand to her temples. "Where are you?" she asked. "I love toooo, baaayeeee" she hung up. Gwen!! "What's the matter?" came a husky voice behind her and she screeched. He immediately fastened his hand over her mouth and she shook her head frantically. ***** Preview "I thought you didn't drink?" the bartender opened his mouth and she just wanted to smack his head. "N..no. I do" she replied softly. Thomas smirked and nodded. "There you go" he said and handed the shot. Her hands were shaking as she took it. She smiled and he returned. "Drink" he said, knowing what she was thinking. "Y..yeah" she said, looking at the exit.
