Perks of drinking

He dabbed the ends of her mouth with a cloth and smiled at her. What was he doing? He would usually be disgusted and walk away from such situations, but not this time.
Something in her made him stay, made him grin like an i***t just by looking at her. She stirred in her sleep and suddenly sat up.
"M..my throat" she was saying as tears formed in her eyes. "You're okay" he said, engulfing her in a hug. She was pretty small compared to him but he like the way she hugged him back.
"Here" he said giving her water. She took it and drank slowly. She handed it back to him. "One more sip" he said looking at her. She had hardly drunk the water.
She shook her head. "One last" he said and she shook her head again, looking at the water like it was dirt.
"Open up" he said and brought the water to her lips. "N..no. It's horrible, I can't drink that" she said and he chuckled.
"Open" he said and she made funny noises before taking the glass from him and drinking one more sip.
Her cheeks puffed up, water inside. She nodded and handed it back to him. "Swallow it" he said in amusement.
She nodded. "You swallowed?" he asked and she nodded slowly again. "Drink it" he said and she frowned. She was about to spit it out when he gave her a stern look.
"Swallow it" he roared and she gulped it down. He bit his inner cheeks to stop smiling.
"Well, lie down" he said. "But who are you?" she asked. "Go to sleep, I'll tell you tomorrow" he said and she nodded before lying down.
He pulled up the covers till her chin and sat on the couch opposite, looking at her innocent face. She looked flawless. But he had to know how she knew him.
He was sure he had seen her before but couldn't exactly place her. "Mom" she whispered and he slightly frowned.
"Just talk to me" she said softly while a tear escaped her eye. He went over to her and held her hand, kneeling next to her on the floor.
Her smile slowly grew and she held his hand tightly not wanting to let go. "Don't go" she said and he smiled weakly.
"Go to sleep" he said and her eyes shot open. She looked at him and then at their hands, which were intertwined.
She looked back to him and he smiled. "You're okay" he said soothingly and caressed her cheek.
"Sleep, I'll be right here" he said but she didn't respond. "Aria" he called and she looked away, removed her hand from his.
"Who are you?" she asked and he sighed softly. "Go to sleep. You need to rest" he said and walked out of the room.
She sighed softly but suddenly felt dizzy and nauseous. She didn't know when she fell asleep nor did she realise when he entered.
He lied down on the couch trying to make himself comfortable. He kept tossing and turning, trying to find a better position to sleep.
He opened his eyes when he felt a tap on his shoulders. She blinked at him twice and he sat down.
He remembered that he hadn't worn a shirt only when her eyes travelled down his chest.
"Are you okay?" he asked her and she blinked again before giggling. He shut his eyes and inhaled deeply. He had had a very bad day and was dead tired, he could definitely use some sleep.
"Ms. Peters, go and lie down" he said. "Why?" she chirped. "Just go" he said. "You're one rude man, you know that?" she huffed.
"I deeply thank you for make me open my eyes and see how I am. I'm very pleased" he said in a low voice and placed his hand on his heart.
"Anytime" she smiled and shrugged. "Now please be as kind as to go and occupy the bed" he said and she blinked again.
"The bed does feel very lonely, you see. I have occupied the couch, why don't you occupy the bed, hmm?" he asked and she considered the matter. She giggled again.
"You're really dumb. They don't have feelings" she was chuckling. "In my house, they do. Look at how sad it is" he said opening his eyes.
She turned to the bed and stared. "There, can you see? I'm sure you're smart enough, aren't you?" he asked and she beamed.
She jumped on the bed and he stood up immediately, in case she was about to fall.
"Don't worry, I'm here" she smiled and patted the bed. His inner cheeks must have been marked, he tried best not to laugh. "He's a rude man, I'm not" she smiled and lied down.
She looked at him and he rose a brow. She motioned him to come to her. "Me?" he asked and she nodded.
He went to her side and looked at her. She swiftly moved to the side and pulled him down on the bed.
"There you go bed, now go to sleep happily" she smiled and closed her eyes. He was resting on his shoulder and stared at her.
She pulled him down so that he lied down properly. He hesitated but didn't make a move. Just as he closed his eyes she poked his shoulder.
He looked to the side and she was very close. She blinked and looked at his lips. He smirked knowing what her thoughts were and cupped her cheeks.
She looked so beautiful that he could forget the entire world. Her hair was covering a side of her face and he moved it.
She immediately looked at his hand and he drew back. She moved closer and he gulped. He would definitely give in to his pleasure if something started.
Before he could move away she kissed his cheek. It was just a feathery touch and sensation ran through him. He looked into her eye and breathed slowly.
"Thank you" she smiled and moved away. He suddenly missed the closeness and wanted to pull her to him. "Why?" he asked and moved closer.
She looked alarmed and shifted a little, making him stop his movement. "I don't know" she suddenly burst into laughter and not to soft either.
She laughed loudly and his lips parted. "Ms. Peters, go to sleep" he said and she giggled, sitting up in the bed and looking at him.
Her kiss had been beautiful and nothing like the sloppy ones he had received.

"Ms. Peters" he said, a little on the harsh tone. "You're wearing out my name" she giggled.
"Sleep" he said. "N..no" she said, stepping back.
"I won't s..sleep w..with you" she said, moving backwards. He couldn't help but smirk.
"Wanna join me, hmm?" he asked, standing up.
"D..don't" she said, stumbling backwards. In two big steps he was right in front of her and her breath got stuck in her throat.
