Chapter Forty- Five
I woke up scared and alone. Josh was gone, Lucas was back, and I was losing my f*****g mind. Once again, I chased Josh away. At this point, I was convinced I was a glutton for punishment. It had been a week since the kitchen incident with Josh, and I couldn't get it out of my head. I argued with myself profusely over whether or not I should call him. I finally brought myself to get out of bed and take a shower. I needed to see him, and now I was feeling brazen. I pulled a pair of jeans up and finished it off with a black thermal shirt, a camo army jacket, and a baseball cap. It was fall already, and despite the rain, the weather was nice enough to wear only a light jacket as I threw my sunglasses on and had Logan call me a car.
