Piran pushed a probe into the terminal’s system, searched for a connection. The probe scanned then sent back…a question? No, not a question. Nor was it a null result. The probe detected something, but didn’t know what.
The terminal buzzed again.

“Arsehole,” Piran muttered. Then he looked up at the sensor over his desk, checked his loop. Yeah, still working—Macklyn wouldn’t have heard him mutter. And even if he had, the main man would have no idea what Piran was talking about. Could be calling himself an arsehole, couldn’t he? Another set-back with this code, something like that.
