Emily POV The air smelled faintly of chemicals, people moved quickly too quickly, their footsteps echoing across the polished floors.The smell of antiseptic was strong in the hallway,I just finished examining a patient ,I was so tired that I let out a breath to feel better.My eyes met with Mrs Victoria blackwood who was seen being rushed by her house keeper( Mrs bella) ,she explained to the nurse that Mrs Victoria lost her vision and couldn't see. Immediately,the nurse called my attention.I went to see things for myself only to find out it was a serious case that needed surgery with immediate effect. "She needs surgery now.”I yelled at the top of my voice but the problem was that there was none of her family there to approve it ,the woman who brought her was shaking. “His line is not going,I don't know what to do,I mean her son”she said. I moved her to the operating room to start the operation, I was almost done with the operation when Ethan arrived. He rushed down from a black car putting on a black suit and a black shade , hurried towards the hospital entrance,his hands trembling,he met Mrs Bella at the entrance of the emergency room. “Where the f**k….. his my mom ‘’he asked Mrs bella ,his heart racing. “She…..she….they….emerg they are operating on her ,she stuttered ‘’ “What…did you just say,who is operating on who..who signed the papers..who allowed it , speak”He shouted. When I was done,I came out of the emergency room, hearing noise at the entrance.It was a man shouting,I thought he is related to her or he is the son whose line was not reachable. “It was successful sir, you really need to be calm” I suddenly said. “And you are?”he asked, looking at me angrily, like someone who wants to swallow me. I was confused,I didn't know what to do because his madness was valid. “Am doctor Emily, Can you see me in my office and settle this amicable ‘’I said confidently. “You operated on my mom without my permission and you expect me to be calm,are you insane?How can you go about operating on people without their family’s permission.he spat. “I tried calling you but your line was not reachable”The woman said, terrified. Ethan looked at the woman in such a way that he could slap her immediately, giving her the look “don't talk when I am talking”,"I am sorry sir.”She apologized immediately. I was surprised to see him speaking rudely to the innocent woman.I told him to calm down that operating on someone without their permission is inlegal but I had to do it because it was getting serious and I apologized without looking at his eyes . Everywhere was silent,I was very scared at the moment ,he then finally spoke. “pray nothing happens to my mom or else I will sue you and the hospital ‘’Ethan walks out on me going straight to Mrsblackwood Ward.She was still unconscious,he gave her a light peak on her forehead sitting beside her. I was holding my breath, I could finally breath.I gasped, standing there in disbelief.Mrs Bella went home to get a few things Mrs Blackwood would need. Gracefield (Victoria's Ward) Days later at Gracefield hospital Isabella (Ethan ex girlfriend)came to visit Mrs blackwood as if she cares. She asked around for her ward .It was easy to find her ward because it was a VVIP ward.she knocks then enters with a big smile on her face. Isabella greeted Victoria asking how she was feeling,and glad she was responding to treatment sitting on the couch beside the bed.Mrs Blackwood replied to her, thanking her for checking up on her. “It's my pleasure, you don't look bad either ‘’Isabella said.They both laughed out loud. I interrupted them by knocking on the door,Mrs Blackwood asked me to come in,I went in to check her plus ,I asked how she was feeling and if she was taking her Isabella was looking at me like she would ruin me at that moment. “Yes dear, thank you for saving me,I owe you one”Mrs Blackwood said gratefully. “Why would you owe her,it her job, that way she is getting paid ‘’.isabella said hatefully. I ignored her”telling Mrsblackwood that she didn't owe me and it is my job to save her , that I am glad she is getting better”.with a little smile on my face. Mrs Blackwood confronted Isabella for being rude ,she apologized to me then asking when she will be discharged,I look at her chart for the last time before closing it gently,her vitals are ok not,l looked at her with a smile, “you will be discharged on of this days ma”,I said. Isabella suddenly spoke up from where she sat down like a queen ,“ can't she go home today?,who are you to decide for her you this lowlife of a thing ‘’.isabella said,looking at me in disgust as if we had a problem before.I didn't expect the insult to hit as hard as it did,for a second the room felt smaller ,I was about to drag her and beat her like mad but I had to be professional.”That says more about you than it does about me”,I replied her and that changes her mood. “What did you just say?Do you know me?”.She spat,her eyelids lifted just a little higher, she was so mad.she raised her hand and slapped me across the face. I didn't expect the slap. Mrs blackwood was confused and surprised.she didn't expect that from isabella.she didn't know what to say leaving her mouth open. My heart was racing,I lifted my hand to slap Isabella back when a voice interrupted us. “What is going on here”Ethan is seen standing beside the door,his expensive perfume hanging around the air, putting on his tailored suit. “I said what going on here”.he asked again.
