CHAPTER 15
The next couple of weeks passed quickly, and the semester ended well enough, with most students passing. As suspected, Michael awarded ten students an A in sophomore writing; an unprecedented number, but all of them well deserved. The rest of the class all got a B, which meant none of these students would be on academic probation in the English department. Michael received a lot of compliments, but he deflected them all to Sheridan. Her hard work had laid the foundation; he had merely built on it.
At last, the day arrived to make the three-hour journey north to the small city where Sheridan's family lived.
“Do you want me to drive?” Sheridan asked, indicating the two cars that sat side by side in his designated parking spaces.
“Why, do I look nervous?” Michael teased.
