On Friday, Raksha texted Maruva, asking her to be ready by 8:30 the next morning. She asked her to put on a churidaar since they would be visiting a religious place. Maruva woke up early on Saturday and was ready on time. She put on a green churidaar , her favorite hairband, trendy chappals , and a pair of earrings that perfectly adorned her lovely features. Raksha arrived on her scooty. She, too, was in a churidaar with kumkum on her forehead, ponytailed hair, and low-heeled sandals. It was unusual for her to dress in ethnic wear, usually sporting a pair of jeans and a t-shirt that she felt the most comfortable in.
