Emily POV
That's why I had to fight for my life. I don't mind ending it now, but I can't end it for my child who has barely had a chance to have a glimpse of this world.
I could leave for her, I would. I hope it will be a female, so she can have a mate and a chance to start life.
“Please don't let me die. I need to save my child, you should know how it feels to have a child." I pleaded, reaching for their dress.
" Actually I don't and I won't. So quit whining and pray that the Moon goddess accepts your filthy soul.” The lady said, walking off with the man rushing to meet up with her speed.
Days later after going through various attacks by the huge rats and the cold floor, I was already feeling very weird and I know I won't be able to hear the pain of losing my child.
“At last you would rest, isn't that lovely?” The guard who has been a little source of encouragement I had since I was in this dungeon.
“How would I be killed?" I asked, looking at him as he began to chain my legs. I didn't even had the strength to struggle with him, I let him lead me out of the cell down the dark hallways.
“The most painful, fire." He said, looking at me with an expression I couldn't explain.
“Okay." I replied, not knowing what else to say. Soon we were almost at the exit, I looked back suddenly wishing I would be left back in the dungeon rather than to be humiliated.
The scorching hot sun nearly made me blind. I would have been classified as a vampire if I hadn't been living with them and they know my parents.
“Burn that witch down. Who knows how many more people she must had killed since she have been in this pack." A woman yelled, and the crowd backed her up.
Before I could register what was going on, I was tied to a stake ready to be burnt with my unborn child still in me.
“Please, I beg you all. Let me give birth to my child, then you can do anything you want to me.”
"Your highness, should we burn her ablaze?” The executioners asked, waiting for his approval.
He stared back at me with his hands shaking a bit, he knew he was doing the wrong thing but he couldn't go back on his words so he nodded.
The crowd cheered, and the hay around the raised platform was doubled with the match burning into it almost immediately.
“Please. Please ,the child is yours. I am the lady you slept with two weeks ago." I screamed, and the crowd hushed, waiting to hear their Alpha's words.
It was mine over his, I know he would deny knowing me but that was fine. I hope my unborn child will forgive me.
The crowd began screaming, but I couldn't pay heed to them as the fire was already scorching my feet faster than I had expected.
“Untie that woman!" A deep voice said, and almost immediately wanted was poured by some unknown men and I fell to the floor.
“Take her back. Make sure she recovers.” The deep voice repeated again and I groaned out in pain as I was roughly pulled up.
“She's pregnant. Be careful with her." A feminine voice said, I snapped my head up wondering how she could tell when my belly was still flat with no sign of a life growing inside of me.
The woman back was turned at me, she was facing my pack's soldiers off like they were little ants.
I wondered how she got that amount of strength, it was beyond normal needed wolf understanding.
“Why is she still here? Take her to a safe place, we can't stain our head with a pregnant she wolf blood.
It would cause the Moon goddess to turn her back at me, and you know we would be doomed if something like that happened.” She said, and the men holding me nodded.
Proceeding they picked me up like I was a fragile object, making no noise but they were running faster than any being I have ever seen.
But this wasn't the time for logical reasoning, my life matters. And I know for sure that I won't be killed, rather I would have been killed immediately with my body left on the body to decompose without dignity.
My baby would get to see me alive and I would make sure I make her have a very wonderful and bold woman who won't be tossed around or accused of something that she knows nothing about.
I drifted off to sleep in the strange man's hand leaving my worries for sometime.
When I woke up, I was in another cell but this was so much better than even my room back at home..
Was this really a cell or I was hallucinating? Maybe I was already in the spirit world.
Finally I would have all the rest I deserve, but I noticed I was still stinking from the effect of not taking my bath for weeks now.
“Wake up. You would be following me now, and mind you. You would have to be obedient or you would lose your head faster here than any other pack.
The Alpha hates you and he would want to make your life a living hell. He won't kill you as that would be too easy, I'm only giving you this heads up because I notice you have another life living in you."
It was the same woman at my former pack, but why was she helping me like she knew me?
“Why are you helping me? You don't even know me, yet you have been so kind to me."
" That's not important, but the moment we walk out of this place. I would be as mean as hell to you.
I value my head still on my shoulders and you would have to act along.”
Why was she helping a total stranger at the point of endangering herself.
" You don't know any of what you should know.” She said, and we stepped out.
She began to pull on me like I was an animal, but I understood since she had explained this part to me..
“Your highness, we went to get her like you have requested." She said, Bowing low that I know it would hurt to do that with how dizzy and hungry I was feeling already.
“Strip now!"
