CHAPTER FOUR

Emily POV

The alpha was looking at me with his eyes gleaming with hate, I was trying so hard not to look at his face.

“Is your family of high rank? Because how were you able to get the affection of your alpha? You look below average to me.” Aiden said, looking me over as his guards turned me around like I was a commodity to be sold

“You filthy thing." He said, spitting on me and I raised my head up in shock not believing he was humiliating the least of his problem when he had literally killed them off.

“Don't call me filthy. How dare you!" I snapped, and the whole pack got hushed as they stared at him in shock.

The alpha looked up in astonishment, I felt relieved that I had spoken up.

“Guts? I like that, but don't direct them to me. That's if you still love your life or that of your unborn baby."

“Stop that. What are y'all doing? This is my best friend child, I can see the birth mark on her waist when you whirl her around.” An elderly woman said, trying to get up to her feet but she was stopped.

“What do you mean! She was brought as my slave to warm my bed and you shouldn't try to save them."

“Find your mate so you can do whatever you want to her. But you have to let her for you would have to contend with me.” She said.

“My sister? How? I thought the pack was burnt and wiped out from the surface of the earth.” Aiden's mom asked, and cleared my throat to inform them that it was my pack despite everything they had made me go through.

“Oh sorry I didn't take it serious. I totally forgot it was a your own people.” She said, and I nodded looking away.

“No I understand. I'm trying to let you know that she have been using your exact face.”

“But why do you both look so familiar? It makes her get away with things and people would think you are the one behind it." She added, looking at me with confusion and pity.

“That's how the Moon Goddess want it, I can't question her decisions. Maybe she was trying to show me hwi powerful she is. Or I'm paying for a past mistake." I replied, getting to my feet immediately trying to avoid the topic.

“No, you shouldn't be bending while being pregnant. You understand, you shouldn't.” The Alpha's mother scolded, and I smiled looking away..

I was at the last month of my pregnancy, I had gone through hell when I came here first.

Aiden hated me with everything in him, I couldn't even understand why but he have avoided me like a plague when he noticed his mother's was in love with me.

“I would be more careful, I didn't think if it at first.” I replied, suddenly the pack's soldiers ran in with horror on their faces.

"What's happening? Why are you all running in like that?” She asked, but they couldn't respond immediately as they began to rush us into the secret chambers.

Which only meant one thing, the pack was under attack, why would everywhere I call a home get attacked.

Fear gripped my soul immediately I remembered what had happened the last time, that can't repeat itself again.

I would make sure I stay close to them without losing my head..

But I was stoped from entering the chambers when the queen mother had already gone far into the chambers.

“Why can't I go in? I need to else I would get killed." I asked, trying to stop them from closing the door but they pushed me away with such ferocity that shocked me down to my bone marrow.

“You would stay with gen normal pack members you aren't higher than us, and that's the place reserved for the royals and maids to take care of them.”

" But I'm part of the maids placed…" I tried arguing, then I remembered that there was an attack and I barely have time to run to the pack hideout..

“Lead me there please. I don't know my way around the pack and I don't want to die." I cried, walking off towards the door.

" And where do you think you are going to? Out? When you haven't paid for yours sins?

You think just because you are herw means you have been exempted from undergoing the torture you ought to go through so I can feel better again.” Ivy said, and I snapped my head back to her.

I couldn't hide the horror I had felt immediately I had heard her voice.

“Long time sister. I haven't seen yourself in for months now. How did you get here? You were supposed to be burnt to ashes so I wouldn't have to see you anymore..

“But what wrong have I ever done to you?" I asked, clutching the hem of my dress as I tried to calm myself down.

This can never end well, I can vouch that she would definitely not let me go.....

"We are identical. Which means you can look at your reflection on a clear surface of how I look like." I replied softly, looking away as I could hear the cries of the pack members that were being slaughtered like animals.

“But why are you doing this? You led him here to kill innocent people who did nothing to you. Don't you have any respect for the Moon Goddess." I snapped, but I regretted it immediately as she gave me a slap on my face.

“Take her."
