CHAPTER 4
In the next few days Springfields seemed to return to normal. The energy had changed and people were smiling a lot more. It was times like these that made Hope realise what a lovely village her home was. She was sitting by the fountain when she heard someone calling her name, she looked up and there running down the street was Maple. Hope couldn’t believe her eyes. “What are you doing here?” Hope asked as she hugged Maple close.
“Well, I got fed up waiting for you to come home and so decided I’d come and see you. I do hope you are pleased to see me,” said Maple, pouting her lips.
“Of course I’m pleased to see you, silly; I’ve missed you a lot,” said Hope with a smile, and hugged Maple again. They sat down at the fountain chatting about what had been going on in each other’s li
