The Move

Luna I was packing the last boxes in my house. The meeting was about three weeks ago, and I put off packing up for about a week and a half. Then, finally, Damien came by one day, brought some boxes of my clothes, and helped me pack up. We aren’t selling my house, but we will be renting it out to other people like me so they have a crash pad on the job. He has been staying up late to help me keep busy or to help me pack. He is an excellent distraction to keep me from tying loose ends and, trust me, the calls have been coming in. “Damien, wake your ass up!” I said, laughing, and he tossed a pillow at me. It hit my face, but I just laughed harder because this man was a sleepy head. He kept his hair down in its shaggy state and started putting some pots and pans into boxes. I looked at him and realized it was almost time to dye his hair again. " Damien, we need to dye your hair in a few days unless you want to go natural again,” I said, staring at him in the kitchen. Looking at him was something I always enjoyed; there was always something between us; for as long as I could remember, I kept myself from falling for him just to keep myself safe. Keeping people away from me is how I always coped with my job and constantly trained with my bodyguards to stay ahead of my targets. Still, Damien kept me on my toes with all the workouts we had been doing together since I took a break from work until we dealt with my mom. Dealing with everything while planning a wedding has been difficult and even though we are almost done packing up my house and I am moving into his place, I have lived by myself for the last seven years. I haven't moved in with anyone ever and I am excited about this experience, but living with Damien isn't going to be easy and I know that. We finished packing up the last of the boxes and put them in a truck and I walked through the house for the last time doing a quick weapons check and we got everything out. I walk to the truck and hop in while Damien makes sure everything is secured and gives a thumbs up to my security detail. We hired three new guys recently. They are on probation with the detail until their background checks clear. Damien started driving to his house but he took a different turn than usual, I think, to shake off my bodyguards. "I have a surprise for you" he said with a smirk on his face, and he pulled up to a house in the middle of a field. My face lit up because the house was my dream home. I told him and my dad about it years ago. He smiled at my reaction and when he stopped the truck I just hopped out of the truck and ran to the house looking at everything. He got out of the truck and joined me on the porch and all I could do was plant a big kiss on his cheek. The appearance of the house makes me wonder how he even found it to begin with the appearance. I never knew this man even listened to me. I knew my father was looking for this house but Damien truly surprised me today. He took the keys out of his pocket and handed them to me and we walked into the empty house together, or so I thought, was an empty house. The house had boxes with my handwriting. I thought my boxes were going to his place, I had no idea he was moving us here. I think he had this planned all along to surprise me. I have never had anyone surprise me like this before and it almost made me feel special and man did he make me feel special right now. I think I might be falling for this dangerous man and I can't stop myself.
