Damien Lowe

1096 Words
Luna I look at Ripper; he’s on the floor; the head wound I gave him is bleeding, and I like how my handy work can either make someone in awe of me or afraid of me. Damien looks at me with this glare; those eyes are as silver as the bullet I use in my custom gun. Something about this man made me both turned on and afraid of him. I wave for the waiter as I look over the drink menu. “Luna, drinking already,” my father said with almost a laugh “Father, it is a little drink,” I chuckled My father and I are drinkers, and we have been for a long time; you see, my father taught me everything I know; he is my only parent, and it has always been just him and me. I have become his right hand and the closest asset in his arsenal of weapons. Actually, his favorite I tie up all the loose ends and even make sure there are no loose ends. My father nods to Damien, and he looks at me with this lustful look, and I almost choke on my own spit. What were he and my father talking about before I came to the meeting, and why was he giving me eyes I had never gotten from a man before. “So, father, what have I missed?” I nodded at Damien “Oh, nothing. I needed his opinion on something,” he said, lying through his teeth The waiter finally shows up “I need a bottle of tequila, please,” I said with my friendliest smile I turn back to Damien “What did my father need your opinion on?” I asked as sweetly as I could, knowing this man could lie to me too “He wanted to know who would marry you,” He said with a sly smile, and I glared at my father again with this stupid plan. My father sits there smiling with that stupid little goofy grin that only shows when he thinks he has a good idea that is actually a stupid one. “Let me guess, Damien said nobody,” I said half-heartedly, expecting that answer because I can’t and won’t marry him either. “He said he would marry you, so I guess my plan is in motion,” he said, laughing and looking at Ripper, pointing his custom gun at him with these red bullets that almost look like blood. “Father, what is Ripper exactly in trouble for?” I ask, knowing it must be something I didn’t need to know “He has been telling someone some vital information on my businesses,” he said with hatred. “Who would believe this man about anything in the business?” I asked, laughing, and my father glared at me “Your mother,” he said with venom in his words “I thought she was dead,” I said, confused and angry My mother abandoned us when I was a few weeks old and took off with some woman or man I don’t know, but she left and never sent a postcard or called or anything. I honestly thought she was dead, and my father stepped up all my life, and now my mother has an informant. “End this rat,” I said with hatred, and my father put one in his head. “Now, what is this marriage business about?” I looked at my father, smiling “You and Damien are to be wed, but you have full control of when and where,” he said, grinning almost like a proud father. “I can agree to this on one condition,” I say, staring at Damien “What is the condition?” he asked “I am moving in with you and upping my security,” I said with a sly smile. “Agreed, but I also have a condition for you, darling,” he said with a glimmer of something in his eye. “What is the condition?” I asked with a smirk on my face “You can’t tie up loose ends until we deal with your mom,” he said, looking at me intently, knowing that this would anger me “I agree with your terms,” I say, smiling for my own good. I’d start enough to know that, but I don’t have to like it. Mr.Lowe is a great workout partner; he could show me some moves. The waiter comes back with the bottle of tequila, and he looks at Ripper on the floor; lifeless, he looks at us calmly. “I will clean this up for you lovely people,” and he leaves Damien opens up the bottle of tequila and pulls something out of his pocket. A ring box, he pushes it to me “Your father talked to me about this weeks ago; I had it in advance,” he said like it was no big deal I opened the ring box, which was this perfect gold, a three-stone ring. I looked up at Damien and smiled “Thank you, Damien,” I said, a little shy I couldn’t believe how perfect the ring was and slid it on my finger, and it fit. So this marriage may work out. I hid my smile as I looked at the ring on my finger. It is perfect, and I used to dream of rings like this before I entered the business. “Alright, so since we handled everything, I need to go” I stood up and walked to my car and drove home, and I started to isolate myself, so I could focus on everything that happened at the meeting Damien I sit beside this goddess of a woman who could put me down, and I would gladly let her do it. Luna is this gorgeous five-foot woman who has me wrapped her light mocha skin tone since the day I saw her put down a grown man who was triple her size by herself. I look at the ring on her finger, and I think to myself Finally Her father knew how I felt about her, but she didn’t; purely because of her line of work, she chose to withdraw herself from people because she couldn’t be herself with anyone at all. Still, I am determined to make her mine and for her to wholly and utterly feel safe with me. She was finally mine, and I wasn’t going to lose her.....
