Chapter 10: The Truth

It's Monday back to school day. After everything this weekend with kissing Ryder and the party my mind is going in circles. Why did his kiss make me feel the way it did. It shouldn't he doesn't want what I want. He just wants my virginity.

As I get ready for school I decide just to dress in some skinny jeans my new boots and a cute shirt with my grey jacket. After grabbing an apple I meet Jasmine by the front door.

"Ready to go?" she asks.

"Yeah," I answer.

When we arrive at school I see Jack and Ryder standing by Ryder's car. I go to walk past and he steps in the way.

"Not going to say hi?" he asks.

"Good morning Ryder," I respond sarcastically.

"Good morning sexy," he says smirking.

"Bye Ryder," I say as I walk away with Jasmine.

"What was that about?" she asks.

"I don't know," I respond.

"I think he has his sites set on you. Just be careful," she says.

"My sites aren't set on him so no need to worry." I respond.

Finally I head to class and try to make it through the rest of the day without running into him. In one of my classes we are assigned a project and luckily they paired Abby and I together.

"You should come over after school so we can get a head start on the project," Abby says.

"Okay I'll text Jasmine and my Aunt and let them know that I'm going to a friend's house," I respond.

After school I follow Abby to her car. She drives a black SUV. We get in and drive to her house. Her house is slightly bigger then my Aunt's and Uncle's. We decide to work in the living room. After a couple of hours we're in the kitchen making a snack when the door opens and someone walks into the kitchen.

"Destiny," I hear a familiar voice say.

I turn around and Ryder is standing in the doorway. I'm stunned I can't seem to come up with any words. I'm sitting there looking like an i***t.

"I didn't know you'd be home today. We are working on a class project that's due in a few weeks and we were partnered up," Abby explains. "Do you all know each other?"

"Not really. He's friends with my cousin Jackson," I explain.

"We know each other a little more then that though," Ryder says smirking.

"What do you mean?" Abby asks.

"We've talked a few times sis. That's all I mean," Ryder says smirking.

After the awkward conversation I head back into the living room with Abby to work on our project some more. I needed to use the bathroom so Abby points me in the direction and I head there. After a few minutes I leave the bathroom but as soon as I open the door Ryder is right there. I back away and he walks in.

"Ryder what are you doing?" I ask.

"Something I've been thinking about all day," he retorts.

He cups my cheek and leans down and crashing his lips against mine. This kiss is filled with need and desire. I kiss him back and he trails his fingers down my neck making me moan. He takes that chance to enter his tongue and before I realize our tongues are fighting and he nibbles on my lip. I pull away and just walk out the bathroom.

After a little bit Abby drives me home in time for dinner and I get a shower and get some relaxation in before bed. My phone dings notifying me of a message.

Unknown- That kiss was amazing. I want to keep kissing you. Come over tomorrow and we can continue.

Me- Not a good idea and if I am there it'll only be to work on my project with your sister. We can't do this. Even more now since I'm friends with your sister. How'd you even get my number?

Ryder - I have my ways. And who says she has to know it can he our little secret.

Me- Ryder stop I'm not just some play thing for you to toy with. Stop texting me and stop kissing me. It's never going to happen again.

Ryder- Stop lying you know you enjoyed it. Remember I always get what I want and right now I want you.

Yes I enjoy kissing him but we can't I can't. He's just a bad boy player and he thinks he can have me. I have to put a stop to it.
