Chapter 1: New Start- Destiny POV
My name is Destiny. I will be eighteen in a couple of weeks. It's been about six months since my dad passed away in a tragic car accident which left my mom really depressed. My mom ended up ending her own life last month right before winter break for school. Since I have now lost both parents I have to move with my rich Aunt and Uncle and their four kids.
Today is moving day and I'm completely sad but excited. Sad to be leaving my life behind but excited to have a fresh start. I used to be an outgoing popular cheerleader. After dad passed away I went through a depression and stopped being social I quit cheerleading and stayed to myself I lost my boyfriend and my "friends" after that. I pack up my car and prepare myself for the six hour drive to my Aunt's. They always have a New Years Eve party and have requested I be there before the party. School starts in a couple of days as well and they want me to be settled in before school so maybe I can feel comfortable. Honestly all I want is to celebrate New Years with my parents. This whole year has completely sucked. I say goodbye to my old house and head to my new home.
After a few hours I arrive the guard at the gate let's me in already waiting for my arrival. I drive up a long driveway and I see Aunt Marcy and Uncle Dan are outside along with my cousins.
Aunt Marcy has beautiful brown hair and hazel eyes she's a slim beautiful woman. Uncle Dan has slick black hair and brown eyes he's muscular but not really big muscular. Jasmine, my oldest cousin, has beautiful brown curls with hazel eyes she's slim and beautiful. Jackson, he's jasmines twin brother, has black hair and brown eyes. Then you have the younger set of twins Ashton and Austin they're just a couple of years younger then me and their siblings are around the same age as me.
"Destiny, we are so glad you made it safe and sound. Welcome to your new home," Aunt Marcy exclaims as she gives me a hug.
"I'm happy to be here," I say.
I go through giving my cousins and everyone a hug. Jasmine and I have always been the closest ones since she was the only girl and I was the only child. She was always more like a sister then a cousin. The boys carry my bags upstairs and Jasmine and Aunt Marcy show me to my room.
"Hey we are going to go to dinner tonight before we have the party and we would love it if you would join. It's a fancy restaurant so I'd like it if you would dress up," Aunt Marcy says.
"I have some stuff you can borrow. And anytime you need some clothes my closet is always open," Jasmine says. "Why don't you hop in the shower and then come in my room and we can pick you out something?"
"Okay that sounds great," I say.
I get in the shower and of course I cry missing my parents. After a few minutes of crying I gather my composure. I step out and look at my new room.
The walls are plain so I can decorate it however I want. There is a king size bed along with a couple of dressers and a desk. I also have a walk in closet and my own bathroom. This house is like a mansion and the rooms are huge. I swear you could fit about five of my old houses into this one.
