I closed the door quietly, leaving Kenzie alone with Mason. I really felt bad for him. When she ran away, he was wrecked. Esme ran after her and I hoped whatever she said worked. Esme and I silently made our way down to the office that would soon be hers.
“What’s going on?” I asked as soon as the door was closed.
“I think she is just scared. She said she doesn’t want to leave Shadow Lakes and she does not want to be Luna. I think if they talk, she will be okay.” She answered with a deep breath. “What is Mason doing here anyway?”
