“We found the home-owners,” Lesley said, holding her hand over her nose and mouth. There on the queen-sized bed were two corpses in an advanced stage of decomposition. Insects had made quick work of the bodies in a few months' time, eating away most of the flesh until what remained was bone and sinew, teeth and hair.
