The Langdons went out to eat and Cody’s dad learned all he could about the support group. He offered to drive Cody to Dominic’s house in the morning. Cody accepted and made them promise not to talk about it anymore that night.
They talked about weather and about going to the movies that weekend. They told him that the insurance agency was going to pay over their money soon and they weren’t sure if they would sell the house, fix it up, move back in, or find a new place in the area. Both of his parents were happy with their new jobs, and were hoping that Cody’s new school would be a good fit.
Cody stayed up that night, anxiously awaiting the morning. His dad got up early to shower and take him over to Dominic’s, leaving just as Cody’s mom got up. Cody took his morning pills and headed out
