The Twin Knights

Chapter 4

I giggle while reminiscing of what happened yesterday. It was so epic and fun! It's also an unexpected reunion from all of us, it's been years ago since we've got to have a bonding with each other; knowing that the elders are all busy and has to give focus on their own land and its people.

Naputol ang malalim na pag-iisip ko nang pumasok ang aming professor sa combat class, hawak ang kaniyang itim na suitcase sa kanang kamay habang inaayos naman ang kaniyang malaking salamin na suot-suot gamit ang kaliwa. She already informed us beforehand that we'll be having our activity which is a physical battle, I suppose. Isa sa reason kung bakit hindi magkamayaw ang mga kaklase ko dahil sa mga inaasahan na mangyayari mamaya.

She faces the entire class, and my classmates immediately shut their mouths and sat down, attempting to quiet themselves down from the enthusiasm they were enduring.

"Good morning, students. Since, I've already told you about what we're going to do today, so I expect you to be ready as we don't know what's going to happen later. Anyway, first of all, I'd like to disclose that I'm going to be the one who chooses your opponent, and that's going to be one in one match. Therefore, you're still going to get a chance to fight against your majesty." She roamed her eyes around us and breathed in as she moved on to explain more. "Once you're behind the barrier, there's no preferential privileges Even if you are a royalty, you have no right to lament because your adversary has harmed you. Fight back and don't hold back from protecting yourself."

Iniikot ko ang aking mga mata sa mukha ng mga kaklase, seeing their faces having a mixed emotions excites me more. Some are terrified, excited and even fiercely looking at our professor. I squinted my eyes nang maramdaman ang excitement na rumagasa sa aking ugat, sumama sa aking dugo.

"That's all of it. Now, stand up and go quietly to the training room. Please, stay in line and don't scatter in the hallways."

They easily got up and went out of the room at the same time, while I walked silently outside, avoiding not being seen by either of them. Bumagal ang lakad ko at hinayaan silang excited na tumakbo sa corridor. I put my hands inside my pocket and coolly looking around the hallways as if I've never been here before.

"Ayuki, bilis!" Halos umirap ako nang marinig ang singhal ng kakambal. Madaling-madali ka, teh?

The hallway is too wide for him to command me to walk faster! And also, I'd rather walk slowly than to lose my cool. Hindi ako ang dapat na maghintay sa kanila, instead they should be the one to wait for a beautiful woman like me. Muntik ako mapatawa dahil sa isipin na iyon.

"Masyadong malaki ang hallway para utusan mo akong bilisan, twinny." Bulong ko. I guess, I pissed him off a little because he instantly walk pass me, while stomping his feet. Bleh. Parang bata. Amp. Dinig ko pa ang mahihinang bulong nito na tingin ko ay sinusumpa na ako. Kung marunong lang itong mag cast ng spell ay kanina pa ako bumulagta sa daanan habang magandang nakapikit at maayos ang higa.

Nakahawak ang magkabilang kamay sa parehas na tenga, nanlalaki ang mga mata at inilagay ang dulo sa gitna ng aking bibig at ipin sa itaas. Lumikha pa ako ng mahihinang tunog ng mga unggoy kaya sinamaan na ako nito ng tingin habang dinig ko ang mahihinang tawa nila Jayden dahil sa pikon na si Kaizer. Asar talo!

Nagpatuloy na ako sa tahimik na paglalakad na parang walang ginawang katarantaduhan nang ilang minuto ang lumipas ay nakarating na ako sa training room.

It was wide and clear, nothing apart from the lights above and some towels cabinets that we could use after. All my colleagues were sitting on the floor, at the right corner of the room. A little far from the middle area where we're going to be fighting. Our professor stood between us and clasped her hand.

"All right, class. Now, because of our activity today, we're going to have a sword fight. You have to use your own sword by all means. The one you can summon in the middle of the battle. I'm expecting all of you to know how to call it, as it was taught to you last school year, and you wouldn't be able to move on to the next grade level unless you passed that round." When an unfamiliar surname called, I turned my head to the right. Bagong student? Nice. Let's see what she have got.

Immediately, they stepped inside the barrier and distanced themselves from each other. You're probably getting ready to fight. They put themselves in a position of defense and offense by each clenching their fist and glaring at each other.

"You may start right now!" As the go signal declared, their swords began to be summoned.

Fauzia Lee stood back before beginning to attack Kaizer, which is, he automatically countered her attack by lifting his sword and blocking it. The only thing we can sense is the slashing sound of their blades, their footsteps and their heavy breath as an indication that they release so much energy, allowing them to exhaust themselves, but not completely. Oh well, siguro, both of them feel so much joy, and that makes our hearts race hard, the reason why we somehow felt like we were running out of air.

Wow, trivia 'yon.

Fauzia made a back bend where she would push herself away from Kaizer with only one hand from the floor, when he would instantly attack her. Immediately, when she almost hit him right on his face, he stepped back, stretching her legs while doing the stunt.

Iwinasiwas ni Kaizer ng isang beses ang kulay abo nitong espada malapit sa tyan ng babae nang makatayo ito galing sa ginawang stunt. Muntik mahiwa ang tyan nito kung hindi lang ito mabilis na nakailag pakanan at umikot papunta sa gilid ni Kaizer. Gulat ang lalake dahil sa mabilis na galaw ng kalaban. She hit him in the head with her sword's handle which causing him to move backwards while shaking his head.

Napanganga ako at muntik tumili sa tuwa dahil sa nasaksihan. Mygosh! Amazing! I almost clap my hands and gave Fauzia a round of applause when Kuya Miro gave me a quick glare. Nakita siguro nito na muntik ako bumulhatik sa tawa.

"You've got to think fast when you're in the middle of the battle. Your opponent won't wait for you to think of a better plan for you to defeat them, instead they'll take the opportunity to take you down." Our professor lectured as we watched the two students fight. "Don't hesitate to fight, but don't just rush if you don't have a weapon—" She pointed to her temple before continuing. "And this is what I'm referring to."

Ilang segundo silang nagpakiramdaman at sa tingin ko ay bumabawi ng lakas si Kaizer. Yanig siguro mundo nito dahil sa malakas na hampas. Kaizer then shifted his gaze to the girl when, I guess, he felt better and gain his lost screw inside of his head.

They rushed at each other and tried to defend themselves with the sword. They continued to fight, and when Fauzia saw the opening from Kaizer's side she immediately kicked him in the side and aimed the sword at the neck without the man expecting her attack. Kaizer was supposed to raise the sword but the opponent noticed it immediately so she pressed the knife harder on his neck. Leaving him with no choice but to lowered down his weapon.

Binigyan siya ng babae ng isang mayabang na ngisi habang idinidiin ang dulo ng espada nito sa leeg ni Kaizer. Mula sa aming kinauupuan ay kitang-kita ko kung paano dahan-dahan tumulo ang dugo mula sa espada pababa sa balikat nito. Seriously? She really has the guts to bruise the princes. Wow. I'm quite impressed since most of the students distance themselves from them, even in the middle of the combat class, they kind of hesitate to attack the royalties.

"In the fight, the brain is deemed necessary. If you're strong, it's useless if you don't use your mind. And even if you're fragile, and you use your mind, you can win against your opponent if he doesn't think as such." Patuloy sa pagsasalaysay ang aming propesor na animong isang magiting na bayani sa aming harapan na pabalik-balik ang lakad. Napangiwi ako rito dahil ako ang nahihilo sa ginagawa niya. Hmp.

They stared at each other for a few minutes and unexpectedly Kaizer's sudden attack. With our long training since childhood, all seven of us have become flexible physically. Kaizer effortlessly lifted his right leg and kicked the sword sideways, and he quickly grabbed Fauzia's head to stab her chest so hard with his knee that she immediately moved away from him.

"And that's why you're not supposed to be comfortable even if you're in quite about to win the battle. And don't look too much at your opponent! This ain't a staring contest. Take him down while he's being cornered. Don't let them think of another plan to attack you! Don't waste a chance to win against them."

Tama!

Kaizer walk back while squinting his eyes, maybe trying to find some way to defeat this girl in front of him without inflicting any injuries on her. Na parang hindi niya ito sinaktan kanina. Well, he's a bastard but he does not like hurting woman except that he becomes wild when he's in a crucial situation.

Kaizer suddenly winked and smiled sweetly at her, which she got distracted. Ay, wala na.
