Connor didn’t wait for Roger to open his door when the vehicles rolled to a stop in front of the general store in Precious. It was a quaint little town, reminding him of so many towns he’d visited in his youth. Several pedestrians walking the sidewalks gave him and his people long or weird looks, but he didn’t mind. Before Connor could head into the general store, he heard someone say, “Hello, old wizard.” Connor pivoted on his heel, and he grinned at seeing one of his oldest friends, Alistair Cooper. “Hello yourself, old wolf.
