6 Gabrielle ran at a full sprint. Her lungs burned with the exertion as her paws kissed the ground in a distance-devouring gait. Sunlight sneaked through the leafy canopy overhead, mottling the ground in dots of illumination reminiscent of a jaguar’s regular pattern. She loved to run. Especially when she needed to think. A pleasant run would clear her mind and give her the peaceful foundation to see right to the heart of whatever issue was at hand, more often than not allowing her to see the solution at once.
