Filled with books and memories that I rather remain buried. This office still wears a gloomy atmosphere as if the walls would close in at any moment. I always thought I hadn't liked it as a child because it was huge and daunting, but now I realise the air in here has always been stale, sucking the life out of you until you are left with nothing but bitterness. “Have you spoken to Mr Patcher? We need to give him an offer he can't resist“ my father's voice infiltrated my thoughts bringing me back into his office. “Is that why you called me here?” I cleared my voice. “Do I need a reason to see my son?” he arches a brow. “We might as well play chess while you are at it” his eyes narrow at mine but I stand up from my seat and head to the drawer which holds the chess board and its pieces.
