Chapter four

"I...I was just walking by," I stammered, trying to come up with an excuse but he wasn't buying it. "Get out," he spat, his voice low and dangerous. I didn't need to be told twice. I raced out of the room, my heart pounding in my chest. For the next few days, I tried to avoid Finn. I couldn't shake the feeling of betrayal that had settled in my stomach. What had he been discussing with the other werewolves? Why had he shut me out? But as the days turned into weeks, I began to realize that my suspicions had been right. The human's proposal had been a trap, and Finn had been involved. I didn't know what to do. I felt betrayed and alone, caught in the middle of a dangerous game. The human's true intentions were still unclear, and I didn't know who I could trust. As I struggled to make sense of the situation, I knew that one thing was certain: the werewolf community was more divided than ever before. And I was caught in the middle of it all. The tension at the school continued to escalate in the days following the revelation of Finn's involvement in the human's proposal. The werewolf community was split into factions, with some in favor of the alliance and others vehemently opposed. I felt lost and alone, unsure of who to trust. My once-close relationship with Finn had crumbled, and I found myself avoiding him at all costs. But as the situation grew more dire, I knew that something needed to be done. The humans' true intentions were still unclear, and it seemed like they were only interested in using the werewolves for their own gain. I couldn't sit back and let that happen. But I knew that taking action would be dangerous. I spent hours brainstorming ideas with the few werewolves who shared my reservations about the alliance. We knew that we needed to act quickly, before the humans could gain too much control over the werewolf community. And then it hit me: we needed to infiltrate the humans' base of operations. It was a risky plan, but I knew it was our only chance. We needed to find out what the humans were really up to, and what they planned to do with the werewolves. I shared my plan with the other werewolves, and they were hesitant at first. But as we discussed it further, we all agreed that it was our best chance. We spent weeks planning and preparing for the mission. We had to be careful not to attract attention, so we planned to travel to the humans' base in small groups, using different routes to avoid suspicion. The day of the mission arrived, and my heart was pounding with fear and excitement. I had never done anything like this before, and I knew that the stakes were high. As we approached the humans' base, I could feel the tension in the air. We had to be careful not to get caught, or our mission would be over before it even began. But despite the danger, I couldn't help but feel a sense of purpose. We were fighting for the werewolf community, and that was something I could believe in. As we snuck into the base, I knew that we were taking a huge risk. But I also knew that we had to do whatever it took to protect our kind. And I was willing to do whatever it took to succeed. Days passed yet things did not still seem to be in place. I however decided to plan a party at my house, inviting my class mates alhtoigh it was quite awkward as we usually don’t talk, well, before that moment. I needed to get more people to agree with me on this mission and make it possible. They received the invite with surprise in heir eyes. I really wished they would turn up. We had to solve this for good. I stood at the door, my heart pounding in my chest. Who could it be? I had invited everyone to my party, and not a single one of them had shown up. I couldn't help but feel hurt and rejected, but I refused to let it show. I took a deep breath and opened the door, and there he was. A tall, dark-haired man with piercing blue eyes and a strong jawline. He was dressed in a leather jacket and jeans, and there was a hint of a smile on his lips. "Can I help you?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady. "I heard there was a party," he said, his voice deep and smooth. "Mind if I come in?" I hesitated for a moment, then stepped aside and gestured for him to enter. He walked past me and into my living room, and I closed the door behind him. I watched as he looked around the room, taking in the neon lights, the DJ setup, and the fully stocked bar. He seemed impressed, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. "So, who are you?" I asked, taking a step closer to him. He turned to face me, his eyes locking onto mine. "My name is Lawrence," he said. "And you are?" I smiled. "Clarissa," I replied. "Nice to meet you." We spent the next few hours talking and dancing, and I couldn't help but feel drawn to him. There was something about him that was both mysterious and intriguing, and I found myself wanting to know more. As the night wore on, we began to converse and converse he seemed to be a very nice person. I enjoyed every bit of the minute I spent with him. Although I still wanted to maintain my quiet nature, I wanted to talk to him for a long time. I had never seen him in school. I felt a sense of satisfaction and contentment wash over me as I was so happy. It was as if I had finally found my place in the world, surrounded by people who accepted me for who I was. We drank so much and became quite intoxicated. It was late and there was no way he could go home hence I offered him to sleep in my place. A smile formed on my lips as I embraced him, sleeping in his arms. The next day, a smile formed on my faces I believed he was still there but then, I realized he was gone. I felt a pang of sadness. I couldn't stop thinking about him. I tried to push him out of my mind, but he had left a mark on me that I couldn't ignore. I felt a strange pull towards him, and I knew that I had to find him again.
