Chapter five

But as I searched for him, I began to realize that there was more to him than met the eye. There was a darkness within him, a shadow that he seemed to be constantly fighting. I did not want to be disturbed as I knew I had to find out what Finn was up to. It just did not seem right. Despite being worried and confused, the stranger's thought continually crossed my hand and I knew I had to find him as soon as I could. I could not hold it anymore. Several thoughts crossed my mind. What of he was like them? What if he turned out to be like Finn? A lot of what ifs crossed my mind all at the same time and it was making me go insane. Everyone bowed their head the moment I returned to school. I was so upset but I managed to control myself. If Lawrence had not come, that would be one of the worst night of my life as I had not imagined that not a single would turn up for the party. Was I that cruel? I however decided to let it slide as I had more important things to do. I really wanted to find Lawrence. I walked from class to class but I could not find him. What was going on? That night, I was roaming through the words, hoping I would see him when I suddenly heard a rustling sound. My wolf senses on high alert. We waited, tense and ready, as a figure emerged from the shadows. It was a man, dressed in all black, with a hood pulled up over his head. He approached me slowly, his eyes fixed on us like a predator stalking its prey. "Who are you?" I growled, my voice low and menacing. The man didn't answer. Instead, he pulled out a silver knife and lunged at me. My heart skipped immediately. I sprang into action, our wolf instincts taking over. I dodged his attacks and fought back with everything I had, snarling and snapping at him with my teeth. The man was quick and agile, but I was stronger. I managed to overpower him, pinning him to the ground and snarling in his face. "Who sent you?" I growled, my voice low and dangerous. The man spat at me, his eyes filled with hatred. "You filthy beasts," he spat. "You don't belong here." And with that, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small vial of liquid. He shattered it on the ground, and a cloud of silver mist rose up around me. I howled in pain as the mist burned my skin, my wolf form disintegrating before my eyes. I stumbled backwards, my body shifting back to its human form, gasping for air as the mist dissipated. I watched in horror as the man disappeared into the night, leaving me alone and vulnerable. It was a wake-up call, a reminder that I could never let my guard down. There were people out there who hated us, who wanted us dead but no matter how hard they tried, we would not let them be. I was even more upset as I cussed at Finn. He had out us through all this. A loud gr however sent a shiver down my spine. What was that?
