PROLOGUE
"Don't you dare speak to me that way." He growled, his voice low and commanding.
"Or else what?" she challenged, raising an eyebrow.
His lips curled into a dangerous smile as he closed the distance between them once again. Leah could feel the heat radiating off his body, sending shivers down her spine.
"Or else what?" She repeated, raising her voice slightly. "Are you gonna do something? Is that your plan? To scare me into submission?"
Damien's smile widened into a wicked grin, his eyes smoldering with desire. He leaned in closer, his breath hot against her ear.
"I could," he whispered huskily. "But I don't have to."
He knew exactly how to handle a woman like her. How to put her in her place. And he was more than willing to do it.
She raised an eyebrow at him, a hint of amusement playing on her lips. "Oh really?"
He moved even closer now, so close that she could feel the heat radiating off his body. He leaned in towards her, his lips just inches from hers.
"I'm going to show you who's in charge," he whispered seductively.
Her breath caught in her throat as she felt the electricity between them. She had expected anger and aggression from him, but this...this was something else entirely. It sent shivers down her spine and made every nerve ending in her body come alive.
"And how exactly are you going to do that?" she asked, the defiance still present in her voice but now tinged with curiosity and desire.
He smiled at her, a slow and knowing smile that made her heart race. He reached out and gently traced a finger along the curve of her jawline, sending a delicious shiver through her body.
"Do you really want to know?," he asked softly.
She gulped hard, her mind racing with possibilities of things he might do.
Before she could respond, his lips crashed against hers in a searing kiss that left no doubt as to who was in control. His hands roamed over her body, exploring every inch of skin as he claimed her mouth with an intensity that took their breath away.
A soft moan escaped her as she felt him pressing against her. She was lost. Lost in the sensations of his kiss, the heat of his body, the strength of his arms around her. Lost in the pleasure and desire that coursed through her veins.
Her body melted against his, her hands reaching out to grip his shoulders for support. She could feel the hard muscles beneath his shirt, and it only fueled her desire for him.
He broke the kiss, leaving her breathless and hungry for more. He looked at her with dark, smoldering eyes that promised a world of pleasure and pain.
"What do you want," he asked, his voice husky with desire. His teeth grazing her earlobe before he whispered seductively "Tell me want you want and I'll give it to you."
She could feel the wetness pooling between her thighs as she listened to his words. He was right, she wanted him do bad. She needed this. She needed him to show her what she had been missing.
"I want you," she whispered, surprising herself with how desperate and needy she sounded.
A wicked smile crossed his face as he realized just how much power he had over her in this moment. He knew that she would do anything he asked, anything to satisfy the hunger that was coursing through her veins.
"Get on your knees," he commanded.
Without hesitation, she dropped down in front of him and looked up at him expectantly. She was ready for whatever he had in store for her. Ready to submit and surrender to him completely…
