After receiving the information on the tag number, Stan headed for Rissa and Carmel’s apartment. His GPS was working fine, and he had no trouble finding the correct address.
When he stopped across the street from the girl’s apartment, he spotted a young man going around the side of the building. He had, what looked like a gas can in his hand. Stan eased out of his car, and closing the door, quietly, he followed the man. When Stan looked around the corner of the building, he saw the man pouring gas, from the can, along the wall at the bottom of the building.
Stan started toward the man at a run. The man looked up and saw Stan coming toward him. He threw the can down and started to run. Stan tackled him and had him on the ground. With a couple of; well placed hits, the man was out cold.
