Jade’s POV “Where's my son?” I dashed out of my study room, making my way to the living room, my eyes darting from the maid to the guards. “He's inside his room,” one of them finally answered. I swallowed hard, trying to relieve the tension that had tightened my throat, causing me to reach for my medicine quickly. Swallowing it hard, I heaved a sigh before proceeding to Aiden's room. By the time I got to his door, I hung my hand in the air, unable to proceed further. These last few days, I've made Aiden sad. And I've not been able to tell him I'm sorry. It's just a few days until Christmas. And I cannot even make my own son smile again. “Aiden,” I started, knocking on the door, waiting for his approval. I know it's something I can badge in, but I decided to respect his privacy.
