Jade’s POV
Soon, the door flung open, revealing John flanked by the rest of the guards, looking tense.
“What’s the latest update?” I stared at them, waiting for some good news, but none came.
I pulled out my phone, reaching out to Raina as quickly as possible, but her phone was ringing, and she wasn’t picking up. My hands trembled with fear, as different thoughts spiraled through my mind.
“Go to Greenville 14—”
My words were interrupted when my phone rang out—Raina.
“Hey, girlfriend, where are you?” I asked quickly, trying so hard to stop myself from getting frightened upon hearing silence from the other end of the phone.
“Raina?”
“Calm, baby. I was trying to get my earphones,” She laughed excitedly.
I heaved a sigh, shutting my eyes for a while before heaving a sigh.
