Joey’s POV
“Bryce…” I choked out.
His grip released slightly before he kissed me hard. He tasted like cinnamon and smoke.
“I told you I’d come see you.” He breathed. “Wanna be bed ridden again?”
I nodded before kissing him again. He lifted me off my feet, placing me on my desk. The clattering of the objects falling on the floor was drowned out by Bryce’s intense moaning. I ripped open his shirt, popping a few buttons.
Bryce’s body reminded me that he was a world class athlete. He groaned as I leaned forward and licked his abs. He gripped my hair, lifting me off the desk and down on my knees.
I unbuttoned his pants. Another groan escaped as I took him in my mouth. His grip on my hair tightened as he pushed my head forward.
“Look at me.” He whispered. My eyes met his and he smiled. “You look pretty like that.”
God, he was so sexy! He pulled my head back. I got back to my feet and Bryce shoved me on the bed.
I watched him survey me as though trying to decide what he wanted to do with me first. The anticipation was almost too much.
He pried my legs open before his tongue slowly glided on my body, causing me to tremble. After a few moments, two fingers slid inside of me. I gasped at the combination of his tongue and his fingers. Every blissful second, I was closer to my climax. Bryce was teasing me. Moving his tongue quickly and then going slower when I started getting louder. Finally he let me have it.
My muscles clenched and my toes curled as the release spread through my body. I hadn’t fully caught my breath when Bryce flipped me on my stomach and lifted my hips before pushing inside of me.
“Oh f**k…” He moaned, gripping my hair again and pulling it hard.
The pain felt too good. I whimpered and moaned with each slamming thrust. Bryce was rougher than any guy I had ever been with. I loved it.
He pulled out of me and sat back. Finally my turn. I mounted him, bouncing up and down furiously. Bryce cried out in pleasure. His hands gripped my hips, pushing me down so he could sink deeper into me.
“f**k you feel good,” Bryce laughed. “Oh you’re worth it.”
Worth what? Arguing with Marsden over?
I leaned forward putting my mouth on his neck. I wanted to leave my mark. I sucked on his neck hard, continuing to move up and down on his d**k.
I pulled away and smiled. “So you won’t forget me.”
“I could never.” Bryce returned the favor .
I was practically screaming at this point.
“Get on your back, I’m close.”
I did as he said. He slammed back into me, rolling his hips at an accelerated pace. His hand wrapped around my throat again. I watched as Bryce’s eyes rolled back and he bit his lip as he spilled into me.
He collapsed on top of me breathing heavily. He kissed my neck. “f**k he’s gonna kill me for f*****g you.”
“Who?” I asked.
“Doesn’t matter. I’m gonna do it again anyways.”

When I woke up the next morning, my room was in shambles and Bryce was gone. He left a note.
Had a great night. Had to leave before I got caught. I’ll come see you when the season ends.
-Bryce
News that Bryce Vossen was seen sneaking out of my room in the wee hours had spread like wildfire. I was the talk of the school.
“Joey!” Marsden ran up to me. “I heard you were with Bryce last night, are you okay?”
He grabbed my arm and examined it along with my neck.
“Yes, Marsden, he f****d me, he didn’t try to kill me!”
“I was worried he hurt you.”
“Don’t.” I tried to walk away.
“Wait, Joey, just listen to me, please?” He begged.
“Fine.”
“The reason for my actions was that...I was nervous. You mean a lot to me and our date made me anxious, so I self sabotaged. I don’t care about Jade, I care about you. Please forgive, I wilil never do something that stupid again.”
“I don’t know-”
“You wanted to dance right? Well let’s dance now.”
He started moving his hips. People were looking now.
“Marsden, stop.”
“You don’t like my moves?” He questioned, grabbing my hands and pulling me to him. He twirled and dipped me, causing me to finally laugh.
“Okay enough!” I giggled. “I forgive you! You can’t do that again...or dance for that matter, you’re terrible.”
Marsden kissed me so powerfully that I stumbled back into the wall. “So wanna study in my room?”
I nodded, knowing there wouldn’t be much studying.
Zoey’s POV
I was trying not to think about Tate so much.
He had shattered my heart. I couldn’t believe I actually thought he would break up with Raina. They seemed happier than ever now.
They rarely argued and were always affectionate. I hated it.
Joey told me he wanted to talk to me, but I just wasn’t in the mood. I pretended I didn’t care about him anymore, even though that was the farthest thing from the truth.
I decided to keep hanging out with Zander. He was so handsome. That warm dark brown skin, those golden honey eyes, that charming smile. He made me swoon and he was quite funny.
“Hey, um, what did you get for question three?” He questioned.
“Siren.” I answered.
He burst out laughing. “Why did I get imp?”
“Because you’re horrible at recognizing magical creatures.” I giggled.
“That’s why I study with you. You’re smarter than me.”
“True.”
He gently poked my stomach causing me to jump. I poked him back and a tickling fight ensued, ending with us on the floor of the common room.
“Can you guys stop that?” Tate demanded, stomping over to us. “Some of us are trying to study.”
“We’re not even that loud.” I stated.
“You’re loud enough!” He snapped.
What the hell?
“Um, can I talk to you, Tate?” I grabbed his arm. “What the hell is wrong with you?”
“You’re ignoring me.”
“Sorry, I thought you were busy with your girlfriend.”
“Zoey, come on.”
“Look Tate, I’m just trying to get over what happened. You’re with Raina and I have to respect that. So respect me too, please.”
I walked back over to Zander and we studied quietly so as not to disrupt the great Tate Highmore.

“Raina, I don’t know what you mean!” I heard Tate shout.
I was cold and was going to go to my room for a sweater before dinner. Tate and Raina were arguing in the common room.
“You spend so much time with her,Tate, it’s ridiculous!”
“It means nothing! She just understands what I’m going through with my dad!”
“She’s playing you! She doesn’t care about your dad! Just admit you like her!”
“I do not! Zoey means nothing to me! If she’s desperately coming on to me, I don’t notice it because I don’t care about her at all! She’s probably just some fan girl. If you want me to tell her to stop obsessing over me, I will. I won’t speak to her again!”
He turned around in frustration and saw me. Shock and regret quickly came across his face. “Zoey…”
I shook my head and ran off in tears. Tate was not the guy I thought he was. How could he say that about me?
I ran into Zander. “Zoey? What’s wrong?”
“Tate just said the meanest things about me to Raina.” I sobbed.
He put his arm around me. “Tell me everything.”
Chloey’s POV
Before coming to Stormine, I would have been thrilled about any boy showing interest in me. That changed upon meeting Cade Pickerin.
He was too intense. He stared at me hard and whenever he got me alone he was so overwhelming. The worst part is I think Rune was under the impression that I liked Cade. I didn’t. I mean he’s quite good looking, but he made me incredibly anxious.
“We have got to stop meeting like this Chloey.” Cade grinned.
“Yeah, we do.” I stepped away from him.
“I must admit I do find our little talks riveting. Don’t you?”
“They’re something.” I laughed nervously.
“I expect I’ll be seeing you at Director Magnus’s dinner tomorrow night?”
“Of course.”
He grabbed my hand and kissed it. “Until then, beautiful.”
When he turned around, I wiped my hand on my thigh in disgust. He was such a creep!
***
“So what’s up with you and Pickerin?” Rune questioned that night.. “Saw you two talking today.”
“Oh, nothing, just checking to see if I’m going to the dinner Magnus is holding tomorrow.”
“Right, the whole Director’s special club.”
“Honestly, Rune, it’s nothing. Joey reckons the best part is the food, and I have to agree.” I laughed.
“Well sneak me some next time, will you?”
Before I could respond, intense sadness came over me. Suddenly I burst into tears.
Rune looked alarmed. “Or you don't have to!” He said quickly.
“I'm sorry!” I sobbed, getting up.
I looked over at Joey. She had her face buried in her hands as she cried. Marsden seemed to be trying to console her.
I ran over to her. “Jo, we gotta find Zoey!”
“I kn-know!” She stuttered getting up.
“Baby, what's wrong?” Marsden questioned.
“It's nothing, I'll s-see you later!” We took off.
The closer we got to Zoey, the more powerful the crying became. We found her with Zander.
“Oh no, what's wrong with you two?” He asked.
“N-nothing.” Joey assured him.
“We’re just feeling what she's feeling.” I explained.
“I see um...should I give you guys space?” Zander questioned.
We all nodded and he kissed Zoey’s cheek before walking away.
Zoey explained to us that Tate had said some pretty awful things about her.
I couldn't believe it, especially after he had kissed her.
“Honestly, f**k Tate Highmore!” Joey declared. “He’s a creep!”
“Yeah, he doesn’t seem nice at all.” I said. “I’m sorry, Zoey.”
“It’s fine.” She sniffled. “I was getting over him anyways.”
“Zander seems great.” I offered.
“He is.”
“Well there you go.” Joey said. “He’s completely hot and actually nice.”
“Yeah, you’re probably right.” Zoey sighed.
We heard footsteps and turned to see Marsden.
“Mars?” Joey asked. “What are you doing?”
“Looking for you, I was worried about you.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, you were crying and I was concerned.”
“Oh. I’m okay.” Joey said in a soft voice. “Especially now.”
“Um, are you two okay?” Marsden asked. “I know sometimes your powers link up.”
I was taken aback. It was so nice of him to ask about us. I guess because he cared so much about Joey, he cared about us too. That was kind of sweet.
Joey seemed overcome with emotion and kissed him hard.
While I was happy for Joey, I was also kind of jealous of her. Zoey too. Even though Tate turned out to be a jerk, at least Zoey had kissed him.
Here I was and I hadn’t gotten anywhere with Rune. I was sure he liked me and I knew I liked him, but no one had made a move. I was starting to think I would have to be the one to do it.
