Lucky day, Laurel thought, walking next to Jason as they headed back to the merchandise stand. Most of the time, she didn’t think of herself as an especially lucky person — that was Lucas’s thing, not hers — but she had to admit that the stars did seem to be smiling down on her today. Not only had she gotten an unexpected windfall in the form of some gambling winnings, but she’d met Jason Nichols…and that was definitely the luckiest thing that had happened to her in a very long time.
