The Simple Life

Midnight POV

I never thought I get myself into such a mess, a loving couple took me home when I was just a small kitten. We were all so happy together, I had food, hugs, and milk. I felt what love was supposed to feel like, one day everything changed. My owners were very excited about the news of a baby on the way. I was very happy for my owners, I did my best not to cause to much trouble. Then as my owners got more and more pregnant they began to forget to feed and take care of me. I still did my best to stay out of the way. One day, I was put into a crate and taken to the car. It was such a long car ride I fell asleep when I woke up I smelled food. Everyone was gone and I was in the middle of a forest alone. I was scared, I just sat in the crate and ate the tuna. It felt like I was in the crate for days. I did my best to save the can of tuna, to eat small amounts of it when I felt hungry. I had never been outside before, but I had no food left. I needed to leave to find more food and maybe my owners. I walked around the forest, there were crazy animals and bugs everywhere. I got to a road and there was a shop, I just need to act the way I have seen humans act on TV. I didn't have any money for food, maybe if I acted cutely they would be willing to help me. I went into the store but was chased out with a broom. I ran away as fast as I could, I traveled far to get to the next place. The same thing happened again. I kept walking until it felt like I was going to pass out. A small child had dropped some food and I went to eat some of it. Someone chased me away from the food on the ground, I felt so weak that I didn't notice that I was in the middle of the road. I just fell and laid there, something bright was headed towards me. It was a car but I didn't have the strength to move anymore. Then I heard the most beautiful voice like soft bells. The voice screamed in my direction. "Stop!!" The bright lights stopped coming towards me halted instantly, that's when I looked into the blue eyes of a beautiful girl and passed out. When I woke up I was being petted by the same girl. She cleaned me up and took care of me, I hadn't felt this good in a long time. She told me that I needed to eat and that this was my home. She took me to a Vet to get me checked out. She told me that she wanted to be my best friend forever. There was this warm feeling in my chest, it was like when she petted me she brought me back to life.
