Chapter 1: The Boy Who Wanted Nothing.
𝐀𝐫𝐜 𝟎: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 Chapter 1: The Boy Who Wanted Nothing. The morning sun rose over the small village of Green Hollow. Golden light spread across endless fields of wheat, painting the land with warmth. Farmers were already working, carrying tools and guiding oxen through the soil. Among them was a young man. His name was Aren Vale. Unlike many boys his age, Aren had no grand ambitions. He did not dream of becoming a hero. He did not seek wealth. He did not wish to conquer kingdoms. He simply wanted a peaceful life. "Aren! Stop staring at the sky and help me with these sacks!" A loud voice came from behind. His father, Darius Vale, stood beside a wagon filled with harvested grain. Aren laughed. "Coming, Father." He quickly lifted the heavy sacks onto the wagon. Darius watched with pride. At twenty years old, Aren had grown into a strong young man. Yet unlike warriors from stories, there was kindness in his eyes. The type of kindness that made people trust him. The type of kindness that would one day become both his greatest strength and greatest weakness. That evening, the entire family gathered for dinner. His mother Elena served warm bread and soup. His younger sister Lina talked endlessly about village gossip. The small house echoed with laughter. Aren quietly looked around the table. His father. His mother. His sister. This was everything he wanted. Nothing more. Nothing less. A peaceful life. Later that night, Aren walked toward a hill overlooking the village. The stars shined brightly above. Someone was already waiting there. A girl. Long silver hair moved gently in the wind. Selene Hart. Aren's childhood friend. And the girl he secretly loved. "You came," Selene said with a smile. "Of course." She sat beside him. For several minutes neither spoke. The silence was comfortable. The kind shared by people who had known each other their entire lives. Finally Selene spoke. "You turned twenty today." "Yeah." "What do you want to do now?" Aren laughed. "Honestly?" "Honestly." "I want a small farm, a family, and enough food to survive." Selene blinked. Then laughed so hard she nearly fell over. "That's your dream?" "It's a good dream." "No. It's a boring dream." "Maybe." For a moment their eyes met. Neither looked away. Neither realized that destiny was already watching them. The sky suddenly trembled. BOOM. The stars vanished. Every sound disappeared. The wind stopped. The world became silent. Aren immediately stood. "Selene." "I know." Fear filled her voice. Above them, the sky cracked open. Not like lightning. Not like thunder. The heavens themselves were splitting apart. Golden light poured from the c***k. A figure slowly descended. A woman. Beautiful beyond imagination. Silver-white hair. Golden eyes. An aura that made reality tremble. The moment she touched the ground, the entire world seemed to kneel. Aren instinctively moved in front of Selene. The woman looked at him. Then smiled. "You are Aren Vale." It wasn't a question. It was a statement. Aren swallowed. "Who are you?" The woman gazed at the stars. Then answered. "I am Lyra." The air shook. The earth trembled. Even the moon seemed to dim. "I am the Goddess of Eternity." Aren should have run. Anyone would have. But strangely, he remained calm. Lyra observed him carefully. Interesting. Most mortals fainted in her presence. Yet this boy stood firm. After a long silence, she finally spoke. "Aren Vale." "I have searched countless worlds." "Countless realities." "And I have finally found you." Aren frowned. "Found me?" "Yes." "Why?" Lyra's golden eyes seemed to hold endless sorrow. "Because I need your help." The words stunned him. A goddess... Needed his help? Far beyond the stars... Far beyond reality itself... An ancient shadow opened its eyes. Something had begun moving. Something that should never awaken. And for the first time in countless ages... Even the gods felt fear.
