Hearing this, I finally understood that I wasn’t dreaming. I had been dragged to this place by these two idiotic old men with their so-called “Dimensional Lightning.” Because of them, I had been burned, punched, and humiliated—it was infuriating!
Unable to hold back my anger, I leapt out of bed and swung my fist toward Red Beard’s snowy-haired head. At the very least, I had to get some payback!
Red Beard, unfazed, calmly pointed a finger at me and chanted, **“Binding Wind.”** Instantly, I felt as if I were tied up by an invisible rope and couldn’t move a muscle.
Long Beard chuckled and said, “Now, now, boy, don’t get so worked up. Since we’re the ones who brought you here, we’ll find a way to send you back.”
I shouted, “Why not just use that ‘Dimensional Lightning’ again?”
Red Beard replied, “The spatial shift of ‘Dimensional Lightning’ isn’t precise. There are countless dimensional worlds out there. The chances of sending you back to your original world are almost nonexistent. For all we know, you could end up in the Demon Realm or the Underworld instead.”
I froze in disbelief.
Long Beard smiled and said, “Why don’t you stay here for now, boy? If you’re bored, you can even learn some magic from us. Once we figure out a solution, we’ll send you back.”
I realized I didn’t have much of a choice. Besides, learning magic sounded pretty cool—something I could show off when I got back home. So, I reluctantly agreed.
Red Beard released the spell binding me, and the two old men began introducing me to the world I had found myself in: **the Holy Magic Continent**.
The Holy Magic Continent was a dimensional world of magic and swords, inhabited by many races, including humans, demons, dwarves, elves, beastmen, and dragons.
The human race had established four kingdoms on the continent: **the Kingdom of Babunika**, **the Kingdom of Reinhardt**, **the Kingdom of Reine**, and **the Ice and Snow Kingdom**. These kingdoms were governed separately, each with its own knight orders and magical corps.
Among the various professions, mages and knights were the most popular, each with a very strict ranking system. At the top of the ranks, there were nine Holy Knights and only seven Grand Mages.
Unfortunately for me, the two old men I had mockingly called senile—Red Beard and Long Beard—were two of the seven Grand Mages. Red Beard, Eulis, specialized in elemental magic and psychic magic, while Long Beard, Linka, was skilled in summoning magic and holy light magic. He was also the Royal Protector Mage of the Babunika Kingdom.
On the Holy Magic Continent, magic was generally categorized into several types:
• Elemental Magic: Manipulating the five elements—earth, water, wind, fire, and lightning.
• Summoning Magic: Calling forth magical beasts.
• Holy Light Magic: Reserved for priests.
• Dark Magic: A terrifying and forbidden branch.
Additionally, there were Elven Magic, unique to the elves, and Dragon Magic, derived from the ancient language of dragons.
Learning magic required not only outstanding talent but also unwavering determination, as training magical power was extremely arduous. Hearing this, my naturally lazy self couldn’t help but feel a bit discouraged.
Eulis, noticing my hesitation, said, “Kid, I’ll start by teaching you the simplest fire magic spell: Fireball. You can practice it on your own.”
He dragged me outside and said, “This entire area is surrounded by a barrier I created. Inside this barrier, magic is only one-tenth as powerful as usual. So, all you need to do is summon a wisp of flame, and the Fireball spell will be considered successful.”
He chanted, “Oh, great God of Fire, hear my prayer. Fireball!”
With a flick of his hand, a fireball shot out and burned a black hole into the ground. I couldn’t help but think of the beautiful girl from the lake and the fireball she had hurled at me. She was probably the daughter Eulis had mentioned. What a surprising contrast—a man like him having such a gorgeous daughter. Truly, a crooked tree can still produce straight bamboo shoots.
As I was lost in my thoughts, Eulis gave me another smack on the head and said, “Kid, what are you daydreaming about? Get to practicing already!”
Terrified of this mind-reading old man, I had no choice but to step forward obediently. Lacking any real enthusiasm, I mumbled, “Oh, great God of Fire, hear my prayer. Fireball.”
The moment I extended my hand, a miracle happened. A fireball ten times larger than the one Eulis had conjured shot out from my hand. It struck the ground with a deafening roar, leaving a massive crater several meters wide.
It was an accident. A complete accident.
Staring at the enormous hole I had created, I could hardly believe my eyes. Meanwhile, Eulis and Linka stood frozen, their gazes locked on me as if I were some sort of monster, their expressions completely dumbfounded.
Suddenly, a slender figure flashed by, and a blonde beauty darted out from one of the wooden cabins. Her sweet voice rang out, “What happened?”
The moment I saw her, I recognized her as the stunning girl from the lake, and I couldn’t tear my gaze away. Beauty truly is the nemesis of men.
However, as soon as she noticed my lecherous expression, her lovely face instantly turned icy. She muttered an incantation, waved her hand, and sent a Fireball flying straight at me.
Heh, I’m not afraid of you this time! I thought smugly. Immediately, I shouted, “Fireball!” and extended my hand.
But then I realized I had forgotten to chant the spell properly. Watching her fireball hurtling toward me, I couldn’t help but lament my impending doom.
Suddenly, the outstretched hand grew hot, and an even larger super-sized Fireball, bigger than the one I had just conjured, burst from my palm. It roared through the air, swallowing her fireball and continuing its path straight toward her.
