Romain The loud banging on my cell door makes me open my eyes suddenly. "Up, you piece of s**t," the warden says before he moves on to the next cell. I sit up, rubbing my face in the process. This is the first night I've spent in a cell. The other nights, I was in that goddess-forsaken pit. They threw in all kinds of criminals there in an attempt to scare me. I stood my ground. I have a strength in me that I never realized I had until now, when I needed it most. Eventually, they got tired and decided to bring me here, where the other prisoners are.
