Chapter 6.The Arrest

Rachel's heart raced as she watched Jared and Yana make a run for it. Her plan of revenge had failed miserably, and now she was caught red-handed, with the police closing in on her. She glanced around frantically, trying to come up with a way out of this mess.

Just as the police officers were about to apprehend her, a familiar face appeared out of the crowd. It was Ethan, her childhood friend turned criminal lawyer. He had always been there for her in times of need, and now was no different.

"Rachel, stay calm," Ethan whispered urgently as he approached her. "I'll do everything I can to get you out of this."

Rachel nodded, her mind racing with fear and desperation. She had never been in such a dire situation before. As the police handcuffed her and read her rights, Ethan sprang into action. He quickly made calls, pulled strings, and worked his legal magic to ensure Rachel's swift release.

Hours later, Rachel sat in Ethan's office, still shaken from the events that had unfolded. She couldn't believe how close she had come to losing everything. Ethan sat across from her, his expression grave.

”Ahhhh I'm sorry Ethan,I was so mad at him because he betrayed me after all those years

"Rachel, you're lucky I was nearby," Ethan said, his tone serious. "But we need to talk about what happened. Why did you try to kill Jared?"

Rachel took a deep breath, her hands trembling. She knew she had to come clean, no matter how difficult it was. She recounted the events leading up to that fateful moment, how jealousy we had been together as lovers, he just suddenly confessed to me that He loved Yana and those years we spent together ended up useless,She exclaimed with tears falling like rain from her eyes.

As Rachel poured her heart out, Ethan listened intently. He knew that Rachel was not a cold-blooded killer; she was just a woman driven to the brink by love and betrayal. With his legal expertise and unwavering support, Ethan vowed to help Rachel navigate the legal system and seek redemption for her actions.

“I am sorry to hear that, I have known you since we were young and I know you are not a killer so I will do my best to help you with this case but you have to promise me that if let you win this case, you will let go of Jared and spend your life with me.”Ethan exclaimed.

Without any hesitation, Rachel agreed with Ethan.

The road ahead would be tough, but Rachel was grateful to have Ethan by her side. She knew that with his help, she had a fighting chance to rebuild her life and make amends for the pain she had caused for herself.
