“I don’t believe you,” I told him, turning away from him and looking at my mother who was now slumped against the screen precariously as if she might topple over at any moment.
“Tell him it’s not true, mum!” I pleaded with her, but she remained unresponsive.
“It’s time for us to leave Eloise.” The Alpha said, dragging me away from her. “Your mother needs her rest.”
“No!” I cried out, pleading with him. “Let me stay, please! I want to stay with her!”
