#werewolf writing contest ll (a werewolfs tail)
So, they're a werewolf form, very clean, shiny and straight perfect fur, each one with their own marks, the beauty if these creatures are amazing, such brilliance to an enhanced way, astonished humans wonder if they'd seen an angel, some of them anyway, their vision is likened to an elf on speed,
Through out the years there had been many a great war between those which lived in the world in those days. Humans, elves, dwarfs, animals like gorillas, and vampires, various wildlife, including the fairy realms and of course giants.
There had been much oppression, and unfair blame, almost all of the s*******r and mutilation of the kind that human's farmed live stock, pointing the finger at those who's skin changes in the light of the moon, and so it would deem logical to go and hunt these so called beasts down.
sending them into hiding, in fear of what ever ending result in their being discovered would result in.
barely many at all were even discussed other than the still strangely common accounts of livestock found dead.
these poor magnificent creatures, and to who pointed the finger none other than the pointy teethed leeches. vampires.
Nobody dared to cast the blame on anyone else, in fear of being a blood bag. or worse.
being able to use special abilities such as invisibility, and super-fast movement when transformed.
only ever able to become werewolves when a full moon, nobody ever wondering why there were still accounts of their farm's having a few lesser cattle on nights that were not lit by the full faced sky night light.
sifting through the idea of a possible hidden turn wolf, making the accused stand in moonlight to spare their innocence. Still with the hearsay they still crept about.
Soon enough as the ages passed werewolf's became not much more than myth.
as for the present stage on the world at that time. a small band of werewolves left, seeking to hide amongst the spiritual, type of human or otherwise, remaining normal in day and when the rise of the moon came, hide in the depths of the temples where they would cause no harm, acting as though monks, even to chant and remember deep meditational mantras and meditate and even give advice, convincing enough.
The land where these temple's stood is on combined Human and Elvan land, joining the two great civilizations, in peace, there are other species that prayed and worshiped at the temple, believe it or not an orc, and even a Dwarf, but only the two highest ruler priests knew of the hiding werewolves. to everyone else they were normal monks.
there is even a supposedly rare spiritual area, where no one is aloud. but when these werewolves hit the moon, they'd go and do what ever they did in wolf form, mostly do sacred rituals special stuff only their kind knew of.
sooner the monks start to put two and two together, and realize the few times they are never in the temples preying at night was during the full moon,
they were along the kung foo strain of monks. and not nobody messes with them. they hold the peace and are considered rulers of the peaceful land between humans, and Elves who revered them near to the majestic honour of being closer to Elves than man. even though but the human monks didn't speak the real language of elves. Only the one they made for the humans, in their real language they talk about humans as though they are slow, mini ogres.
Takin the micky in way's humans do not understand.
there are small settlements of these were wolves but in normal times without the moon they are traders/black smiths/and a few are guards for royal palaces.
Some were even in the military.
For some reason nobody anywhere apart from the temple, do not like were wolves because of the lies and rumours that they go and kill off innocents, and when they are not wolf form, they are just like dogs but in human form. Having not ever even met one in person, proves how rumours more hurtful than the truth.
There were a few in captivity who are like chained circus freaks and people taunt them and when they are transformed humiliated. once again the ignorance of man being what it is.
These ones are not as beautiful once transformed, which is a survival evolutional thing, they'd get covered in oil, so nobody loves them because that is what happens people see them as giant mesmerizing and delicate creatures. one maybe two broke free, and killed their tormenter out of revenge, only to cause the rumours more legibility. Sad.
people who come across them on the tracks or roads, see them glowing. radiating out this amazing shimmer. Their eyes are like a cross between wolves and like the moon was shining from their eye's not in the sky's, like such beauty of a dragon even.
As for the giants who live up in the mountains rarely see humans let alone were wolves.
Those who saw, usually kept to themselves, everybody knew they were vile twisted horrors, keeping words to themselves to need be seen as mad. The excuse of such a tale even told, from ingesting magic mushrooms or something the Elves took to keep them awake on guard duty.
There were a few who were curious about the world, and went exploring they fell in love with human women who are the prettiest of all creatures, other than the transformed werewolf’s,
They did lay with them. which bore huge men, bigger than man but smaller than giants they were called along with all the other half breeds, such as elves and humans, humans and dwarfs/ dwarfs and elves/ well all of them really..
Were as much a myth as each other.
One thing human's got kind of right was that they were stronger together. Well some of the time Had a strange word for it. like how Ants made up a hive or nest.
There is a small renegade team of were wolves and are employed by the thief tribes because even though not transformed have amazing abilities to not be seen or heard, even once they stole the most valuable diamond encrusted jewellery from the humans in daylight. they can move through the shadows like a swift cool breeze.
The ones who want the truth to come out that they are not beasts, try to talk to the giants as a team to believe in them and influence the rest of the world, find them hilarious, something to do with the giant sense of humour and never take them seriously. all they do is laugh at them.
It was the vampires who leech from the humans mostly because they are easily influenced, do not want there to be any half-breeds with the vampire and werewolves, because it creates magnificent and stronger than both and a great threat. To stop the threat, caused all of them to be destroyed one way or another because if there were mixed bloodlines, they would take the rule away from the vampires and therefore rule the humans, their source of blood, favoured by the vamps, but some resort to elven blood but is like taking magic mushrooms by humans and only taken on occasion where they can celebrate certain accomplishments. Causing a sort of sickness like a hangover, but for longer than a day or two.
In the area for the werewolf monks to transform was deemed sacred land, where there was huge round stone circles, they in those days emitted pure healing and white light, used in areas all around the globe, well land as they considered it a flat world in those days.
There were not witches nor wizards but those who in those days we would called Druid and Wiccan sorts. and because Christianity had not been invented had not sought out these people as devil worshipers rather, they were over seers that at astronomical as well as seasonal planners who considered the werewolves as what they should be known as. Beautiful, wise, and powerful beings. Not creatures to be squashed into the mud.
They had a few that lived with them, but were found out and ripped apart, probably in the same ways and methods as what would become the norm for killing burning at the stake for soon to be known as witchcraft.
Of course, much of the skills they knew and was passed on in each generation were kept secret and were later known throughout tribes and cecities of later times as the shaman and witch doctors.
Although sadly almost all of it lost.
The werewolves that hid around mountainous giant folk because they were not considered dangerous, grew in numbers, the lowland folk stayed away from the lustrous and skull crushing Giants. So was the perfect place for them to live at times not full moon.
For a long time rearing as many as they could had created an army of warrior wolf-men.
In the ideal of tradition rather than a survival method on full moon the lowland folk shut everything away. but had become a time for dinking smoking and storytelling, where they would celebrate the full moon, as the fear of the wolf had been nearly forgotten, and they who change at moonlight had caught on.
Planning a raid. as they had hardly any food or resources, the giant did not leave much behind after their banquets.
Left the werewolves not much choice but to sneak in and take food and such. very swift, very quick and quiet. In and out.
As the human and a few elves enjoyed another full moon ceremony.
One werewolf, being brought up with tales of how the humans had forced them to live like animals, had had enough, seeing from afar with his great and powerful vision, these humans had become fat, weak, and stupid. being the leader of the resistance sort of faction of protection and safety decided to play a few tricks on the humans. pouring vampire blood into their barrels of mead, watching them turn into vampires not knowing due to the drink, then burning to ash the next day's sun.
Quite a number of people this had happened too, blaming the vampires who had nothing to do with it. poisoning their beloved mead, as there were few people you could call a warrior in those times. as prosperity and growth was considered the norm, as there was no fighting other than the odd bar brawl, no wars, no deaths other than to normally the elderly, and of course these new deaths of which a cunning and jealous werewolf named Bane, watching from afar laughed so loud the giants were woken from their slumber in the mountains where he lived.
Gathering himself and a few of his brother's. Decided it was a good idea to see what was going. on. Only those little wolf men lived with them, away from those pesky humans. wondered why one strayed so far?
On the horizon from this reasonably large town could see shapes, huge forms gaining distance.
They were starting to get closer, the people of this town begun to panic. Long had they not needed to elicit anyone to guard themselves let alone have a war ready army, all they could do was run or on horseback to the next village down the long winding track a few dozen hills away to see what they could do about it. if they had strong men or warriors, maybe they would be saved as well for warning them against this possible attack in a bit of a cowardice way.
Once the giant's reached the town. found only this one leather covered man.
"Who made this howl? It woke me and ME’s wife?" beaming in a roar at this lone man,
Due to the stupidity if giants he had not been considering why there was only one man in that huge village/town, and as there was no reply other than if you could imagine passing out in terror a response?
Until he made his way back to the mountains after knocking down the bell tower as a warning not to do it again. and reaching his strong hold but quickly forgetting about it as he was trying to remember the pass code to get back into the mountainous giant city. which three weeks later finally remembered the words, or phrase.
While this town was deserted the werewolves had moved in, looking like poor folk, the ex-residence of the town let them stay as they would let them know of any more giants, that they made up and said they kept coming back often, but they would hide as soon as they seen one, letting them stay there, all the previous people who lived there just made an extension of the town, to live in and developed a new part of town. feeling safer there than the open other land that stretched out for leagues and leagues from that place.
The werewolf clan had already built up its defences, and soon continued to build a small army,
There was a huge wall that no man could scale consisting of numerous turrets, where the best amongst them could see for miles and miles, archers, swordsmen, bigger than the average trained in fighting arts for the strongest fastest and fittest.
The humans giddy, scared, and glutinous, soon felt at home away from the dangers of their previous place.
Yet the town away from the new dwellers, was not satisfied with the general flow of the town, they had a small band of peacekeepers, that kept it all peaceful, amongst the humans, those who could do anything about it, started enlisting warrior monks from the adjoined elf territory and brought them them to train them to fight and defend. Two of them were werewolves.
Amongst the ten of them travelled to train these folks from town, the two of them hiding a secret that if found would be the end for those back at the temples.
Caught on the wind the smell of something definable, other were wolves, it wafted on the air, but there was no mistake. believing there were a few hundred of them, their marking smell was to them a revelation and sought to make the excuses to visit the next town over, to learn of any sightings of the Giants.
Venturing closer their scent was caught and quickly greeted them along the path.
There were high pitch yelps of excitement, with glee, and being welcomed into the very well defended boundaries were treated as celebrities, all the best meets, hotel like structures and a long and delightful gathering ceremony as almost all of them wanted to meet and say hi to them.
Of course, as in the wolves we know there was a strict and definable higher, a sophisticated and necessary pecking order, those of lowly levels were made to come in and touch their feet, as the ranks increased in stature so was the greeting from touched feet to handshakes to kisses and bows of all sorts.
They had learned that once tricked the humans never returned, and soon the same thing was done to the next own over, and an excessively big amount of land was now known to the humans as werewolf territory, there had been a few times where rowdy and impatient wolf men had started a rebellion but soon reminded why they were to keep hidden.
On hearing such events as to the giants coming down from the mountains a few travel by night/sleep by day vampire inquisitors went to determine why, there were such accounts. The humans deemed their cattle.
There was no doubt, the outer rim of towns and villages had been taken over by werewolves, not having as great a smelling nose as the werewolves noted the unmistaken aroma of wolf, a cross between deep earthy muddy blood and perfume.
Having the upper hand smelled out the vampire before he could they and was sliced and bled to death then burned to ashes in the next day's sun.
Being able to hear on different frequencies that no man nor elf could communicated on pitches only picked up by them even in their man form relayed everything worth howling in such manner down the carrying wind.
There was word that the vampire scout type had not returned and so being riled up with news there was a small but lethal team heading in their direction.
Still being more powerful than man, yet slightly lower than the vamps, the wolf-men decided they should overwhelm them. becoming quite accustomed to their newer and much more satisfactory ways of living.
Doing just that they caught them in a valley, fully of trees of Winter snow as it had just been around that season, the vampires knowing there to be less daylight at these times.
Being surrounded, it was an easy s*******r, heads flew by blades as sharp as elf black smith, with no casualties save a few cuts and grazes they leaped home on steed triumphant, leaving body piles and letting the sun do its the rest.
Unknown to they, there was a sneak, vampire that held back. being cunning and older than those beings, he had stared in disbelief that men, had decimated the small yet worthy band of vampire fighters.
Relaying that they were stronger and more powerful than most men, had not quite realized them to be of the wolf heritage.
So, to take care of these rebels. they called, in no true way at all any real concern, sent off their champions amongst vampires’ best fighter's to make quick work of silencing these betrayers of the ruler of humans.
So proud and sure of themselves, to take the journey and reach the settlement of all nights a full moon, so blinded by their boastful power, they had not once thought there to be a settlement of were wolves, only to discover these twice the size of any vampire, slaughtered them still, with not one servivor.
In the days that lead from there, hoping to receive news of yet another uprising overhaul, did nothing of any word of them.
Confused as to there no news from their best fighters.
Could not conserve of the men rebels beating them, training for several decades.
Annoyed the vampire emperor counsel, struck a meeting. Not knowing what they should do, wanted to entrust the humans to venture into these lands and try to find what happened there.
Amongst the werewolf now quite a growth, almost called a society, celebrations were held to a minimum, one of the prettiest but of a low status maiden, had caught the eye of what could be considered in our terms as a prince.
There was something special about her, she did not seem at all effected by her lower-level pack status, and this only made her even more desirable.
On wanting her, he could have had almost any to be the bearer of his cubs,
As he had a fair few already. This sense of grace and unaffected by the laws. sought to woo her.
Being told by her parents she of of lowly stock and begged him to take one of her other sisters,
He had had enough of their excuses, why she was hidden on full moon as they would kind of go and hunt but not too far away from the homily hiding domains, to hide any sighting of them.
Not once did he see her, looking in heightened smell and vision searched out her scent, leading him to an overgrown part of a nearby woodland. seeking her out begun calling for her, until made it out to a clearing, there she was a picture in the moonlight only increased his lustful desire for her, climbing in a wolf like sleek, too a small luminated by her fur, glowing a deep blue/green Hugh, all around, she, in chains bound to massive boulders that held her down, she half growled half howled as stepped closer to take in more of her scent, struck his eye's on her, she bit the air around her gently, as the moon lay a glow, she was less hairy, inspecting her walking round her standing awkwardly, as she struck a stance of shame, which he probed even more, her unmistaken scent the colour of her eye's the shape of her body. he had heard tales, the last dinner of stew gurgled in his belly,
He had stumbled on a hybrid, a true to tails a half breed of those venomous scum vampires.
Yet caught by his own breed bled with vampire blood felt nothing but love and amazement of this cross-bread b***h.
There in the nights loom, he took her, the lure of his own types of people folded back on him,
He was not ashamed the past coming months as they met there she still bound, every full moon, but really needed to keep it quiet, especially from the elders who kept it all in balance.
She was to give birth, in shock fear and excitement, the prince ordered her to be taken to the same place they made them to be born.
The one he was to marry caught on to them, seeing out, on that very night. following them not sure what to expect, found that she had delivered two of them. that dirty peasant fucker, they thought.
There did not seem to be anything different but as the two of them grew both being boys, were faster, loads more powerful, they were deemed as the best, at everything,
In those times more and more vampires were gaining ground for every night that passed they were getting closer, war was to come at any moment, as they were wolves they trained as hard as they could possibly.
To lead them in battle were the two fully grown 1/4 vampire 3/4 wolf brother princes.
Being tricked at first knowing on the wind the the vampires were close. they had enlisted the aid of the elves who were not particularly friendly with vampires for stealing their blood, the humans giving it freely as a sign of gratitude and honour to them,
Knowing they would strike in the night slept and ate in the day, not knowing the vamps had created "in the day light" armour, had crept dangerously close, and on blowing the alarms, horns. The werewolves quickly took to arms, and fought them they did. not being as agile in they are in suits the first waves lead all day for the at night leeches to take over.
The already warn out from the day's battles, had to dig as deep as they could managed to fend off them until morning the morning sunlight beamed across eh battle ground as the bodies of the vamps popped and burst as the sun hit them.
Alongside those of the blood sucking nature were the felled werewolves, about half of them were injured.
about a sixth dead,
They had used huge catapults to send burning balls to take out a many of them as possible yet waves after waves of them kept coming, the elves had an easy job of it, and were barely hurt.
The battle raged on for several days.
The princely part of his duties was still going, slicing and dicing through the new armour, saw no sight to no end.
The many that stood their ground were amongst his sons, so fast, like as quick as a blink of the eye's would lose them, looking like they were going to double handily win the battle, smiles as the blood gushed from gashes. Struck nothing but hope for the wolfs, and nothing but fear in the otherr side’s hearts.
Their mother had been with those who could not fight, looked through the massive tumbled down wide-open part of the wall, could make out her lover, amongst the fighters as the war raged on.
His armour shone bright flashes around, from it's shinny gleam.
The vampires had enlisted a dragon, yes, a flipping dragon that was tearing a hole in the front line of defence, seeing it fly by flame a mouth lighting up turning the metal they used to defend into stew pots. taking to hand a sword from a dead wolf pack member, and with bounds each step bouncing her higher and higher and jumping over her beloved swinging the blooded blade sliced finely the dragons throat, in mid-air, landing into a role took the side of her prince, and continued the fury with the power of both sliced down very many of the opposite's army. the prince being overwhelmingly impressed, they battled into the night. the chiming of metal and war yelled to be heard a while off.
Of no need for concern the giants mainly ignored the war although a few would sit and watch as entertainment but did not get involved.
It was down to the prince a few dozen, his boys and their mother.
Even having a few potions from the local far off towns alchemist, had almost run dry, knowing they were outnumbered the few servicers ran away with their tales between their legs, and took refuge on the other side of the mountains of the giants.
Yet they were not followed.
To the vampires who love to fight felt honoured despite knowing they would always be stronger commended the werewolf for their efforts, on building the once flourished were wolf town into one of their own, they felt at ease for now. little did they know the werewolves were awfully close and again amongst them not considering the full moon a threat, almost amongst them as a sort of jinx to say it was not a danger each full moon would have caused them to perish as a result. but their overbearing confidence was about to be taken down.
On this full moon they had in cages kept taunting and humiliate a few pet werewolves, to say they weren't scared to keep them in their places.
That night they heard a howl. so gruesome and menacing they started to become a little worried, and at that moment they heard footsteps of paws, as every vampire in that now a city inside the walls was massacred, and with the victory going to their heads threw back their heads in a collective howl. loud enough for the vampires in the next few towns over to be rightfully afraid. They couldn't reach us tonight could they, a few of them queried, one by one that night of the light of the moon, running like the wind, werewolves in essence didn't realise they could do it. it was meant to be a suicide mission, but instead they ceased the vampire nation to be wiped it away, a few here or there, the humans gained courage and a new light dawned on the face of the planet and with no vampires controlling man, they had begun to flourish,
As for the werewolves they are still around, they dwindled a bit but most folk say they wanted to be more hidden as to not scare mankind into killing them off. off course there were a few who ventured out from the safety of numbers and a few sightings from here to there. other than that, they were seldom seen.
