Prologue
Please follow, vote and comment...   "Father," Monica called her father as they prepared the table. "Yes dear," Fernando replied setting the dish on the table. "Will you bring me the new Barbie doll when you come back?" she asked impatiently.   "Of course dear." he hugged her kissing her temple. Fernando usually was not home, he was working on his grape vine farm most times and usually came home late and left early. His rarely saw him most of the week more so his kids Monica and Diego.   Fernando, Martina, Diego and Monica settled down on the table happily. They were always happy when Fernando was around. Ever since his company, Eternity rose to its peak, he has rarely been home and they miss him so much but tonight he was home spending time with his family.   Martina a willowy milk skinned woman middle aged with the nicest blonde hair and clearest blue eyes was her wife who he loved so much. Monica was her six year old daughter, she inherited her father's dark locks and her mom's blue eyes. She was a very lovely and intelligent girl who wished she'd be a sommelier when she grew up just like his father.   Diego, his fourteen year old son had his mother's blonde hair but had his father amber eyes. He always wanted to play baseball even when he grew up. He was the quieter of the siblings. Martina prepared turkey, shrimps, lasagna, rice and coffee beans. Everyone was smiling at the table and very happy.   "How is school going Diego?" Fernando asked Diego "Fine father," he replied with a smile. "Father," Monica interrupted. "Yes Monica," he answered. "Diego has a girlfriend." Monica giggled childishly. Diego immediately glared at her sister who just broke her pinky promise while she smiled triumphantly ignoring his meaningless threats.   Diego knew that her talkative sister wasn't the one to keep her mouth shut. She had caught him flirting on phone with Alicia, the girl she liked at school. Right then he knew he was in trouble so he bribed her with money to keep quiet but he would have known better.   "Is it true Diego?" Fernando asked him. "Yes, I caught him talking to her on phone." Monica intervened. "Son, you know you should focus on your studies first." Fernando nurtured. "Father, I already have good grades and I am doing well in class." "Even though son, be careful though." he ruffled his hair.   The dinner went really well with the jokes and fun they had been missing out on. After dinner Martina collected the dishes with Fernando's help. They had really missed out on a lot of fun. Monica were in the sitting room watching some show on the television while Diego had gone to her room.   Suddenly there was the noise of shattering of glasses and immediately Fernando ran to the scared Monica scurrying her to one of the empty big locker just below the stair case. He told him to not get out until he said so and not to make any noise. "You will come for me dad, won't you?" she asked hopefully. She studied her father's creased face as the shattering grew louder scaring her. "I will dear but for now I have to go. I love you."   Before she replied, he closed the locker. "Who are you guys?" she heard his father's voice. "Fernando my friend, how has it been?" a voice she didn't recognize said. "Father," she heard his brother's voice tremble in fear and panic. "Welcome to the party kid. You must be Diego." the voice chuckled. "Don't you touch my son," her mother threatened.   "Oh Martina darling, you so beautiful than what I have heard." the unknown voice continued. "Leave me alone." she heard his brother yell. "Calm down kid, I was starting to like you."   Monica was scared and she wanted to get out but she had promised her father, she had to keep her promise to him. "What do you want Elias?" her father asked in a hard tone. "Right Fernando dear, you do realize since your company came into existence, my business has failed greatly but it will be a great relief when you are gone." he said bitterly.   "She is not there boss, we have checked everywhere." another voice she didn't recognize reported. "I see. Fernando, you are trying to be smart with me,l aren't you?" she heard the man chuckle humorlessly. "Please don't hurt my family, it is me you want Elias." she heard her father plead. "Is that what you think Fernando? Where is the girl?"   "She is not here Elias, please let my family go." her father pleaded again. "No Fernando, it doesn't work like that. I have suffered enough with you and I need to get rid of your whole existence." the voice snarled violently and she heard vessels shatter. "Please Elias," her father pleaded. "Not today my friend. I have had enough patience with you."   "And don't worry, I am going to find your girl and let me promise you one thing, I will take good care of her." she heard the voice giggle. "Don't you tou....." her mother didn't get to finish her sentence.   Suddenly she heard a loud screaming voice of her mother. "No, mother...." then followed his brothers loud yell of pain. Then his father's came next which sounded like he was in pain.   Monica didn't know what to do at that time, the anticipation of what was happening killed her so she opened painfully slowly the door with trembling fingers surprised it even opened. Creating a creak of space where she could watch the scene, she was more than mortified to see her father's body lying in a pool of blood his eyes looking straight where she was.   She watched in vain as he tried to communicate something with her but he couldn't let it out and she didn't understand. Then he stopped moving suddenly. She wanted to scream and run to him at that time but it was like her legs were glued to the spot. Then he saw a man with the tattoo on his back near to his shoulder, a head of a dragon who kicked his father's lifeless body.   She watched in horror and pain at the scene. "What do we do boss?" another unfamiliar voice asked. "Burn it down," the man with the tattoo ordered. "What about the girl?" the voice asked. "I am sure she's in here, she will burn with the rest." the man said. "Okay boss,"   Like that, she had lost everyone she ever loved. She was silently crying with the tears running down her cheeks. "All clear," she heard a man say. On cue, she opened the cupboard funding her family covered in a pool of blood.   "Dad, mom, Diego," she called in a shaky voice filled with fear. She received no answer from any. She shook her mother's lifeless body, then her brother's but still no answer. Then she smelt the smoke, she was lost and didn't know what to do.   She was so young, six for Christ's sake. All she knew was if she ever wanted justice, she had to leave the scene as soon as possible.
