THE MAZE

"I remember my dad telling me ,the world expect something great from me.He touched my shoulder and looked up the sky." You are the star to shine in this community ." Braba was the name that every one in the ghetto used to call him.Nyikani people respected him for his wisdom and diligence. Life in Nyikani was not easy and getting out of that desert town was everyone's dream.For me that was a nightmare. "Chesser you have to be an alchemist ,turn every worst into best." Those were the words that popped in my mind every time I heard Bagi planning how to get out of the maze. "Hey bro you must figure your way out ,Nyikani is not cool to us at all." Food and water was very scarce, the town has not received rain for two successive years and access to water was not easy at all."I Chesser am not going any where, am not running from the hardships in Nyikani my hometown I want to face them and the only way to figure my way out of these maze is by finding the solution. "I saw Bagi Shading tears and started sobbing. I knew things were not cool but making our home the best place was to be our personal legend." Bagi you are a student at University of Nyika, this is the right time to bring your innovative mind here ,let's focus on solutions and not the challenges surrounding us."Those words made him to wear a bright smile and he agreed not to leave the city that was crying for our help.As we were walking down the valley, we found Barba who was like dad to us.He was busy drilling a huge baobab tree using his knife.We saw water coming out of the trunk as he collected some in his calabash. What I saw from Barba made me realise that nature wants us to discover our own way out of our problems. "Sons you have to be strong,resilient and wise.There is a lot of challenges here in Nyikani and there are people that need to be helped.The elders like us who have no where to go apart from here in this desert, the widows whom desert took their husbands and many others.Little boys you are the only people that can put that bright smile on those people's faces." That speech was like a fire burning in my heart. we gave him a tight hug and promised that we will use all our potential to bring life to it's fullest in this desert. "Hey Bagi we have to create our own oasis because there is no one here.Let us not focus on what we are not having let's look what the nature has provided us." Bagi smiled scratching his head."Come on dude what's the plan?"He asked.I knew the most important thing was the unity ,human resources was the dope."We have to address every youth in these society about these.We have to put our power together and dig deep till we find the solution, Work together till we solve this problem. "" Let's do it bro."
