CHAPTER 1: THE UNRAVELING
"My Alpha, what is troubling you? Your food will go cold because you haven't touched it. It's been a while since I've seen you in this state. You starving yourself to sleep last night is unthinkable. Is that how you now do things? Since the moon guardian's last visit, you haven't eaten anything. Are you withholding something from me? Raymond asked his Alpha an interesting question.
"I don't care about food right now. I won't mind going without food. I no longer think it's significant. If my heart is worried, why should I eat? Tell me, please. You must have witnessed what transpired some time ago. Maybe I should remind you. Due to a curse I have no knowledge of, I have been sentenced to death. Do you not understand? "Where did the moon goddess expect me to find her?" A teenage girl holds the key to my future. He attacked Raymond, his BETA.
The evening flew by, and Alexander remains agitated and uncertain about how to deal with his situation.
Since the moon guardian exposed the hidden, he has lost his appetite. He didn't really believe that food was vital because everything in his life was going wrong.
"I get how you're feeling right now. However, I am certain that finding a teenage female is not difficult. Given your position as Alpha of this pack, no one could refuse the opportunity to join the Royal family," Raymond said hopefully again.
"Oh! Once more, there you go.
You exude such assurance over this matter. How am I going to manage this as I have no idea about it? I have an idea. I want you to find me a teenage girl with whom I can have a son tomorrow. This needs to be solved immediately. I'm currently out of time. I take it that you don't want your Alpha to die suddenly?
"Clearly not. You still have many years ahead of you. You're not dead for nothing. "You'll rule indefinitely," Raymond promised.
"Just what I was hoping to hear. I don't wish to pass away quickly. Go out there and find me a teenage girl if you don't want that to occur. He dismissed Raymond after giving him an instruction.
"Yes, Alpha. As I set out to find you the one who can free you and lift the death curse, may your wish come true. After bowing to obtain the Alpha's blessings, he left Alexander's chambers and bowed to demonstrate his respect.
*************
A new day has dawned. Alexander has been longing for this day. His heart aches with each passing minute as he looks for a solution to his issue. Even though he is well aware of how hard it would be to find a teenage girl who would comply with his demand, he still maintains the belief that the moon goddess will do nothing but watch him suffer damnation.
*********. "It's already morning. I have to get ready for the task at hand. Raymond threw himself from the bed and got ready for the challenging work that lay ahead. He now bears the responsibility for the Alpha's longevity. He might as well start getting ready for the Alpha's funeral if he doesn't come home with encouraging news. He changed into his clothes and went outside to knock on Donald's door.
"Start sending your message right away. The situation on the ground is already known to you. Time and patience are not luxury items for me. Without giving Leonardo a chance to answer, Alexander snarled, "You must return home with the teenager to bear me a son and lift this goddamned death curse." The Alpha doesn't care what Ray has to say. All he wants is good comments.
"I understand, correct? Before I go, I just wanted to let you know. I'm prepared for the journey that lies ahead. I hope to return with encouraging comments. Raymond revealed.
"Good luck, Ray! You will receive blessings and favor when you see the moon goddess Selene.
______
Finding a teenage girl who would agree to the Alpha's exorbitant offer is really difficult. Under the supervision of their parents, teenage girls are exposed to moral vices in the same pack.
Raymond agreed to sacrifice everything for this terrible assignment even though he was well aware of this absurd fact. He wasn't going to watch helplessly as his Alpha suffered because of something he didn't understand.
Even though it was 10:30 a.m., there were no hunters, merchants, or bystanders on the streets, and the area was completely empty. The New Moon Pack is very different from this. On a morning like this one, it is not precisely a sight of pristine decorum or emptiness. It seems as though each parent purposefully imprisoned their daughters in order to make Raymond's duty even more difficult.
It was difficult to find the teenage girl. He pointed to a number of homes and presented the alluring offer from the Alpha. However, he was unable to find a family to negotiate with. No family was prepared to let their daughter to have a boy because Alphas were the cruelest. They turned down the chance to become the Alpha's Luna, even if not everyone knew about the curse. What could have occurred if they had been aware of the origins of the hunt for a teenage girl?
"This is not what I bargained for. For me, it has been challenging. I never in a million years thought it would end this way. Now what am I going to do? I believed the Alpha. I can't bring negativity back to the pack. No, it will never occur. Something must be done. I have to save the day." Raymond is in the woods, soliloquizing below. He has given up on ever meeting a teenage girl. As darkness closes in on the atmosphere, the night is spreading as quickly as wildfire. He became absorbed and fell asleep. He heard some odd footsteps nearby and abruptly woke up. He raised himself off the ground, pointed his blade at an unseen thing, and sniffed the air. "Who are you, anyway? You're hiding like a coward, but why? If you're so brave, come out and challenge me to a battle. And as I watched you slowly bleed to death, I would cut your throat with my sword.
Leo of Alpha Alexander, BETA, please stop your drama. The energy may be needed later, but not right now. I'm not here to engage in combat. All I want to do is talk. I might be able to help you. Thus, go slowly. Behind him, a manly voice walked and spoke.
"What gives you the impression that I wish to speak with you? You're not even someone I know. There's nothing at all to discuss. You're not even someone I know. How did you locate me, and who are you? Before I give your remains to the vultures, speak immediately. With blood-stained eyes and a full-fledged fury, Ray threatened.
"It's not worth it anymore to worry about who I am.
I can certainly relate to your anger. I would be even more incensed than you if I were requested to locate Alpha, a teenage girl. You may return to the Alpha with bad news if you continue to behave in this manner. "You shouldn't be unfamiliar with the Alpha's fury," the stranger said, keeping Raymond on edge. How the mysterious person learned about it is beyond his comprehension.
"This is really unbelievable. Do I have hallucinations? How did you?..." Raymond inhaled deeply and opened his mouth wide in surprise.
"Avoid giving me that expression. Do you find it surprising that I found out? Let me inform you. You did reveal it, I see. "And I bet the Alpha will be inclined to risk a fortune to find this beautiful teenage girl, right?" Imagine that I was listening to you when you went by the neighborhood today, asking parents if they would permit their daughters to marry the Alpha and have a son with him. The young man made fun of Ray and chuckled mischievously.
You're not going to dare do that. You're not even aware of its potential.
Has your regard for the Alpha suddenly diminished? She is completely free for the Alpha to have. She ought to give it out for nothing. You know that becoming the Alpha's Luna is every girl's dream, Ray boasted.
It's very kind of you to assume that I would give her away for nothing. I'm sorry, but I'm not prepared to trade for nothing. I'm here for the money. It's clear that you're not prepared to work with me. I wish you success in locating another adolescent girl. The Alpha will undoubtedly be waiting for you at this very moment. Ray called him back as he turned to go.
"I was confident I could do business with you." I will personally take my lovely stepdaughter to the Alpha's quarters first thing tomorrow if I have ten thousand dollars."
"How ruthless are you? Do you want to sell the alpha someone's daughter? Ray angrily swore at the odd man, "You must feel ashamed of yourself."
"Relax under pressure. Technically, she is just as much my daughter.
I've got that covered, so don't worry. She has a lot of faith in me. She won't have any suspicions. My name is Jones, by the way. It was a pleasure working with you.
"By tomorrow morning, I'll find you and murder you if you keep the Alpha waiting. I have to keep my end of the bargain. You shouldn't mess with Alpha Alexander. Raymond took the absurd offer and threatened to do so.
"Don't stress over that.
I'm always on time," Jones promised.
