CHAPTER 3: THE BURDENED WOMB

Clara is having trouble becoming pregnant. She hasn't even had a miscarriage to demonstrate her fertility. Alpha Alexander is already starting to worry a lot about her infertility. He never bargained for this frustration and delay.

"What on earth is going on in my life at the moment? What have I done wrong? Does the moon goddess oppose my liberty? However, she advised me to go find a teenage girl in order to lift the curse. I have to put an end to this because I don't want to become like my father.

I can't stay in this darkness and pain much longer. He murmured, "I need an explanation for this madness," and ordered his maid to call Raymond to his room right now.

"Why are you wearing such a ridiculous expression, my Alpha? What is bothering you? You called for my presence, and I am equally affected by your problems. With both hands behind him, he appeared.

He narrowed his eyes at Ray and cynically remarked, "How long have we known each other?"

"I have known you my entire life. even prior to you becoming the Alpha. Why are there questions? What's happening? Tell me, please.

"What made you decide to lose what we had? Do you want me to die? Putting you in jail for treason doesn't cost me anything. He shouted at his BETA, "It doesn't matter if I have known you all my life," his words containing knowledge Raymond couldn't understand.

"After all that you've done for me? To have such a fantasy in my mind will make me an ingrate. You are aware that I am incapable of harming a fly. Why do you think I could do such a thing? I've known you your entire life. Before you became the Alpha of the New Moon Pack, we were essentially raised together. Have I ever acted uncomfortably before for once? Still trying to understand why Alexander said that, Raymond defended himself.

"You pitiful fool, quit the pretense. You're trying to deny it, and I know it. Open up to me, please. This is just the two of us. You understand what I mean. You knew what I was going through, but you took advantage of me and brought me a piece of wood. Someone you brought wouldn't fix my issue. Raymond, I need answers. Now get talking. I'm being slapped across the face. I ought to have handled you!

"My Alpha, I still don't understand.

What did she do? You're grumbling about her for the first time."

"What I meant to say was that she is not yet pregnant. Did this involve you in any way? Did you and Jones conspire to defraud me of my money? He screamed as he finally let it out.

"My Alpha, be patient. We must allow her time. She will change her mind. Let's not give up on this completely. To calm Alexander's anxiety, he gave him assurance.

"You say patience? How much longer will I wait for her to become pregnant? I'm looking for outcomes. I've run out of patience. I want to know. I'm really excited to watch her become pregnant. What's taking so long? I believed it would be simple. I've had enough of waiting forever. Was this something you planned? At his BETA, Alexander lost his temper and provoked indignation.

Raymond remained still and motionless, stunned by the Alpha's fury. He remained composed for a long moment, choosing his words carefully so as not to anger the Alpha.

"I have a thought. It will work out, I promise. Shall we ask the moon guardian for help? She might discover a solution to our predicament.

"Stop using her name in your gutter-infested speech. She has nothing at all to do with this. I was about to think you had a better idea. Once more, you are showcasing your ignorance. Are you not ashamed? What do you know? Go call me Clara, please. I want to ask her a few questions. "She needs to give me some answers," he ordered. He doesn't think the moon guardian's help is necessary in his situation. He had a sneaking suspicion that Clara was the cause of her infertility. For several minutes, he paced his room in an attempt to comprehend the circumstances. Is she able to conceive? She dares not. That isn't even feasible. She needs to get pregnant. He considers the circumstances.

"She's right here. You asked to see her.” A few minutes later, Raymond came back with Clara.

"Hey, you peasant," Alpha Alexander said, leaning down to tug her hair while his eyes flitted to her eyes. I have no idea what prank you are playing on me. But believe me, I'll feed the vultures your remains if you don't become pregnant soon. I am a man who doesn't say much. I also don't tolerate tension. With another stiff groan of frustration at his predicament, he pushed her to the ground.

Her head was filled with so many questions. First of all, she was duped and sold to the most vicious Alpha by her evil Jones, whom she trusted. The Alpha is now in a panic because of her infertility.

It is not my fault that I am unable to conceive. When I last looked, you were a virgin when we first met. Is a virgin going to be infertile? I assume you already know the solution. Or are you withholding something from me? The Alpha slapped her face like a thunderstorm after she clapped back.

"Stop talking already. What spurred it? Don't you dare say such a thing to your Alpha? I expect you to be respectful. I'm being humble only because you haven't yet completed your mission. You would be chased out of this palace and never come back once this was over. Don't engage in such pointless games with me.

"Very interesting! That's all you have? Go for it! Show me what you created. I believed you to be merciless. All I see before me is a coward. You don't deserve it. You coward, get a life. As she gazed wildly at the Alpha, her nostrils flared once more. For a brief while, a deep red glow illuminated her gloaming gap, giving her the appearance of the moon goddess herself. She was getting frustrated with the state of affairs. She no longer cares about anything.

"Get this leper out of my line of sight, Raymond. For the following few days, make sure she goes hungry. With a roar, he ordered, "That's her punishment for disrespecting me." He was starting to get annoyed by her presence, and if she didn't go right away, he could do something foolish.

Raymond bowed in response and yanked Clara by the arm firmly, saying, "Your wish is my command."

She pushed him away and ran outside to vomit. When Raymond tried to run after her, the Alpha stopped him and said, "Let her go." There is no way she could get away from the guards' prying gaze. She will return.

She came back looking so pale and dizzy after throwing up. Moving too quickly, he pointed to her and inspected her physique. For what duration have you been ill?

"What matters to you? I assumed you were eager to get rid of me. Let me be, please. I have nothing to explain to you.

"For a few days, I suppose. I've had a sickness of some kind. Lately, I've been feeling very lightheaded. Why are there questions? You were repulsed by my presence the last time I checked. She seemed a little perplexed as she admitted, "Why the sudden change of mind?"

"You're expecting a child! It's clear. In excitement, he said, "I see it in your eyes."

"Are you expecting? When did you become a doctor out of the blue to recognize a pregnant woman? I am unable to conceive. It isn't even feasible. Furthermore, I was unaware of it. She asked in confusion.

"You shouldn't be surprised by this. You understand why you are here, of course. Your only task was to conceive for me, and you succeeded. I can appreciate your astonishment, though. You are pregnant for the first time. It's acceptable to be ignorant. The moon goddess finally fulfilled my dream. At last! I will shortly become a father. Knowing that he was just one step away from lifting the curse, Alexander leaped with delight and embraced Clara.
