Once in a Lifetime

The sun is up and the twitting of the birds is what can be heard in the middle of the forest, where a cabin is located.Inside of it is a man with a deep passion for science. His name is John Smith. A 35-year-old man with deep dark eyes,long dark hair with an average build.Inside of his cabin is an amazing laboratory with his mates,David Neigh and Jennifer Thampson. David Neigh is 50 years old,tall,with short white hair and a beard. Jennifer Thampson has red hair, is 37 years old, and had an average woman's height. David and Jennifer were scientists too. Unlike John, both of them were happily married to their beloved.John, on the other hand, had no time for that thing called love.He couldn't relate to them in terms of that. John mostly starts his day with a toast and coffee.Then, a couple of minutes, he will continue the research he has been doing half of his life span.Finding the right formula and calculation on how to make a time machine and to prove if its real or just another blow to the moon's dream of his. He and his mates have already been doing this research for almost eight years. That time, when they were just starting to catch their dreams, it seemed impossible. There was a time in his college days when he introduced his thesis in front of his classmates with the title of " Is Time Travel Possible?" Everyone laughed and made fun of him. One of his classmates even shouted " i***t, time travel is only fictional!" He was embarrassed by that time, but still it didn't stop his passion for discovering if time travel was possible. He was still in his 20s at that time,others were starting to catch their dreams as they did until today. "John!" called out from Jennifer. Both of them were in the lab right now continuing what they had started. Jennifer is as happy as she can ever feel about what she has discovered. "What is it?" John replied, full of confusion in his face as she approached her at her desk. " I think I have already archived our dreams.Time Traveling John is freaking real!" Jennifer said, in disbelief, as there was a sparkling of joyfulness in her eyes. "Really? Did you try it yourself?"John replied in disbelief. ''Ouhmm... not yet, but the specimen John is gone." Jennifer said, referring to the rat that they had put inside of the machine that they made had just vanished into the thin air. "Seriously Jennifer," John said while shaking his head. "John, I put the specimen inside of the machine. I turned it on and there was a sparkling blue light, then it struck the specimen, then it vanished."Jennifer explained to John. For almost eight years, it was the first time that something had just happened like that. John is confused. Was really the rat did time travel or not. If it really is, then where? in the past or in the future? And most important, is there any chance that there is an effect?If it really does timetravel, how can we take it back to its original timeline? Those are the only different questions that flashed into Johns' mind, making him more confused about what happened. He got his old research paper in the basement.Then studied it all once again, hoping to find some information that he missed.He read the paper from the past few years ago.One by one, making sure he did not miss even a single piece of information. Hours passed, John was exhausted. He lay down on the floor with all of the papers that he had just read.Dirt was all over on his lab gown.He stretched his arms and he could hear a c***k coming from his bones. "John, have you ever found something?''Jennifer walked in and asked. "No."John answered sparingly. Jennifer just shrugged her shoulders in response.Then left John behind. John continued what he had started. It was already past midnight and he was sure that his mates were already asleep.This day was a tough day for John.As he walked towards the machine, he observed it carefully.Then asked himself what was wrong with the machine.So he was curious. He went to Jinnefer's desk and turned the computer on. He carefully observed the data and saw that some of the coded data was not in its right place.So he coded it again and put it in its right position.Then, curious as he is, he turned the machine on and he was surprised to see that it sparked and emitted a dazzling light that blinded him for a moment. When he opened his eyes, he saw a figure. It was a figure of a small thing that he couldn't tell what it was that appeared. When his vision cleared, he realized that the figure inside the machine was the one his friend told him about.The rat had appeared.
