I sigh heavily as I what for my mother and new step-father to come back from the court. I'm supposed to be packing up my room as they go get eloped. "Done" I sigh as I finish taping the last of my boxes. "We're here!!" yelled my mom. "Finally. I'm starving." I say as I walk down the hallway. "Oh haha." my mother said while rolling her eyes. She had the biggest smile on her face. "So lets look at the ring." My mom laughs as she skips over to me. She holds her hand up. I look at the big shiny diamond on her hand with a silver band. "It's gorgeous!!" I gush. "I know how to pick 'em." Ruben said coming up behind my mom and wrapping his arm around her, with a big goofy smile. When we all calmed down, from laughing, my mom's and my stomach growled at the same time. We laughed even harder. "Okay I guess I need to feed you girls." Ruben chuckled. We both nodded. "How's pizza sound while we finish packing??" Ruben suggested. "Sounds good to me." My mother and I say together. We giggled then headed in different direction. I went back to my room to double check. My room looked so bare. After looking to make sure I didn't leave anything behind, I started carrying my boxes to my baby. It was a 2019 blue and black Subaru Crosstrek. Mom was gonna get it for me when I graduated this year but since we're moving she surprised me. I was putting my last box in my car when the pizza arrived. Ruben paid the guy and waved me over. Thank god I'm starving.
We finished the pizza and cleaned up. About hour and a half everything was packed and ready to go. I was excited to drive to another state in my baby. We all hopped in our vehicles. Me in my baby, Mom and Ruben in the Ruben's Chevy truck. I connected my phone to my car so I could be hands free when mom called to give updates. On que mom called me. "You ready to go??" You could here the excitement in her voice. "As ready as I'll very be to meet my three new step-brothers." She laughed "Okay let's go." She hung up. I hit play on my Playlist and started to drive. Seven hour drive let's go.
