FLINDER
Making her way to the official Angel office, Flinder was hating her life. Angel Richard was making her meditate for over a week now in his office. When she first came here after she died, everyone seems so nice and happy. But now she didn't think so anymore. Angels were strict and they weren't nice eather.
‘You're not relaxing Flinder. I can feel your tenseness all the way here. Just leave your problems at home and try to focus on your breathing.’ Angel Richard said in annoyance.
Flinder really tried, but she was not having any of it. Instead of placing her hands in her lap like she was supposed to do, she was pulling knots out of her hair. Flinder didn't take good care of herself. She hadn't used her brush or even washed her hair for over a week now. People didn't respect her anymore. She didn't respect herself eather, now she didn't have the power of the stars. They were mocking her and calling her names behind her back. Her eyes were almost always red from crying. Flinder hadn’t had one good night sleep this last week, making her grumpy and lazy every day. Taking away her star powers, was the worst thing that happened to her since she died. She blamed the Angels, for not believing her.
‘That was it for today.’ Angel Richard said finally. ‘I'll see you tomorrow.’
‘I hope not.’ Flinder said soft as a whisper.
‘What did you say?’
‘Nothing.’ She stood up from the ugly purple cushion and strolled her way back to her room. Ignoring the calls in her head from Clarity, she fell down on her bed and closed her eyes. Falling asleep wasn't hard, but then her nightmares came back.
Flinder tried to stand up, but her hands and feet were bound together. She couldn't move. She was laying on a bed and couldn't see a thing. She was in a room without windows. When she screamed for help, all she could hear was laughing. There was someone in the room with her. ‘Please help me. Let me go.’ Tears rolled down her face. ‘Please.’ She couldn't feel her powers and she felt weaker than ever. The person in the room stopped laughing. She could feel he was close though. Something cold and sharp was pressing against her stomach. ‘No, please. Don’t do this!’ The sharp object pinched through her skin, making her bleed and scream in the process.
She woke up screaming again. ‘No, no, don't do this!’
‘Flin, Flin.’ Clarity was standing by her side, laying her hand on her forehead. ‘You're burning up Flin. I can't have you screaming every night. I'm sorry but I told Angel Georgina to come over.
Flinder was covered in sweat. Her whole body felt wet. Tears rolled down her face. ‘It's okay Clare. I'm not mad at you. I'm just tired of being tired. I'm so sorry for waking you up.’
Angel Georgina walked into the room without knocking. ‘Oh, sweet girl. You don't look good.’ She laid her hand on Flinder forehead. ‘This is not good. This is not good at all.’ Her eyes became white. She was talking through her mind with some other Angel. Within seconds Angel Richard and Angel Michael stood beside Flinder's bed. ‘We have to take her to the hospital suit now. Flinder has a very high fever. If we don't get the fever down, she could die.’
'You told us Angels couldn't get sick, right?' Clarity asked with fear.
'They can, when they're stripped of their star powers.'
